The EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE 160 DDC PWM D-RGB Combination Unit is a pump-tank unit based on a market-proven DDC pump that delivers the ultimate performance in a small form factor. The new Kinetic Combi units are part of the EK Quantum product range and come with an advanced addressable D-RGB lighting implementation and a true DDC 3.2 pump that is popular with small form factor PC enthusiasts! The reservoir is equipped with a total of six G1/4" ports, allowing users to choose the most optimal configuration for their liquid cooling circuits. The DDC motor is cooled by the integrated heat sink on the bottom. The top side is made of cast acrylic glass and is equipped with three G1/4" connections. One of the connections can be used with the supplied nickel-plated brass inner tube, which helps prevent coolant splashing inside the reservoir when the top is used as an inlet. This reduces the likelihood of air being sucked in by the pump and the coolant also foaming. This tube cannot be used with an anti-vortex insert due to size restrictions. Each of the three upper connections can also be used to fill the system or to add additional accessories (thermal probes, LEDs, etc.). EK Quantum Kinetic TBE DDC pump reservoir combination A further three industry-standard G1/4" ports are available in the lower combination case, which is also made of CNC-machined cast acrylic glass. Apart from the inputs and outputs, it has a side port that can be used as either an optional inlet or outlet port. It is mounted by 4 columns on the bottom of the pump-container combination unit. The addressable LEDs are arranged in a ring which is directed towards the coolant. Unwanted hot spots of the D-RGB LED of the combination unit are covered by a CNC-milled aluminium part. The tube with a diameter of 60 mm is made of high-quality cast acrylic material, while the bottom of the reservoir and the top of the pump are made of CNC-milled glass-like cast acrylic material. Sealing is provided by a high-quality EPDM O-ring. The integrated addressable D-RGB is compatible with the common RGB synchronisation technologies of all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow marking on the 3-pin LED connector must be aligned with the +5V marking on the D-RGB header. This reservoir can be easily upgraded with longer acrylic tubes used by the EK-RES X3 series reservoirs.
