Areas of application of Plössl eyepieces:Through the four-element design, the Plössl is a true all-rouder. As a consequence, these eyepieces can be very well used for observing moon and planets with higher magnifications. At lower magnifications, Plössl eyepieces are well suited for observing nebulae, star clusters and galaxies, they convince with a field of view relatively free of distortion. The new Sky-Watcher 90° Polar Scope Eyepiece now makes polar aligning your mount so much easier! The eyepiece sleeve securely clamps over the standard polar scope eyepiece using three non-marring, plastic-tipped, knurled metal thumbscrews. This is far superior method of clamping compared to similar looking products on the market that use only one clamping screw and more reliable than those using a brass compression ring, which can be problematic. The internal diameter of the eyepiece clamping sleeve is 30.1mm. For optimum positioning, the eyepiece can rotate 360º around its axis in click-stops. The BRESSER Telescope Camera Adapter is the connecting piece between your 35 mm DSLR camera and the telescope. The connection to your camera can be achieved with the fitting T2-mount (T2-mount optional). For the focal fotography, you need to unscrew the bottom part of the adapter and attach the camera with the fitting T2-mount directly to the push-on contact. The eyepiece projection is possible when you put an eyepiece into the adapter and tighten the knurled screw. Astronomik ProPlanet 742 IR-pass filter Ideal filters for the reception of the moon and planets, notably Mars, with telescopes from 6” (150mm) aperture. The ProPlanet IR 742 only allows infrared light with wavelengths of more than 742 nm to pass. In this wavelength range the effects of seeing are significantly lower than in the visible spectrum of the human eye. This allows much sharper images than are usually obtained from your device and location. Another advantage is that the sky background of advanced dawn is dark and so the filter even allows photography of the planets and the moon at daylight. Main use The Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742 cuts off the visible part of the spectrum and allows the light of wavelengths longer then 742nm to pass. Due to this behavior the part of the spectrum that is most sensitive to bad seeing is rejected. This approach does a big improvement to the imaging of planets and the moon. The image is more steady than the image in the visible light with nearly identical exposure times.
