APCIE-10G is a programmable 10GBase-T / NBASE-T Network card. It supports auto-negotiation which will optimally select among 5 speeds: 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) 5 Gigabit Ethernet (5GbE) 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ( 2.5GbE) 1 Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE) or 100 Megabit Ethernet (100MbE). 10GbE requires Cat6a or better cabling is needed. But for 5GbE & 2.5GbE Cat5e cable is sufficient.APCIE-10G supports IP TCP and UDP checksum offloading that enhance performance and lower CPU utilization. The 'Large Send' function (up to 64KB) brings increased network throughput.
