British Museum Press Chinese Ceramics: Highlights of the Sir Percival David Collection

Krahl, an international specialist in Chinese ceramics, describes the collection and the research that David (1892-1964) conducted into the geographical and historical background of the objects contained in it. Over four decades, he says, he assembled the most significant private collection of Chinese ceramics. Harrison-Hall, the curator of Chinese ceramics at the British Museum, provides a catalogue of selected pieces, including color photographs, physical characteristics and dimensions, date and place, and the context and significance of its design.
