InterVarsity Press A Long Obedience in the Same Direction Bible Study

A Companion Bible Study to A Long Obedience in the Same DirectionThis six-session Bible study guide is based on Eugene Peterson's bestselling book A Long Obedience in the Same Direction. To use this resource, read and study alongside the book, A Long Obedience in the Same Direction, sold separately. We are surrounded by a society that idealizes quick results and stimulating experiences. The Christian life, however, calls us to be not tourists but pilgrims-disciples committed to a long journey of faith. Through this accessible guide for growing in perseverance, you'll find encouragement in the Psalms to press on with qualities such as hope, repentance, patience, and joy. This Bible study is designed to help individuals and groups explore and apply biblical truths found in the separate book A Long Obedience in the Same Direction. Each session features quotations from the book matched with Scripture passages, reflection questions, and application ideas that will equip readers to connect the text to their own lives. A leader's guide and list of suggested resources are also included.
