Dorling Kindersley Ltd A Day In the Life of a Warrior: Travel Through Time With the Soldiers of History

From the dawn of time to the present day, warriors and soldiers have lived on the frontlines of history. But theres more to that history than epic battles and infamous leaders. What was it really like for a warrior living through the Samurai shogunate or the rise of the Ottoman Empire? Beyond the textbook facts and theories, how did it feel to ride into battle with Genghis Khan or trek across England with Viking raiders? In this series, young readers are invited to join a warrior from a famous historical battle for a day in their life. What did they wear? What did they eat? How did they spend their time? What kind of weapons did they carry? How many of the warriors were women? Unlike other book series on the market, budding 7 to 9 year old history buffs can get up close and personal with a warrior and learn all about him or her, from the serious to the silly and everything in between.
