Mounted between fan and radiator it allows a more even distribution of the Airflow, hence using the whole cooling surface of the radiator. If a fan is mounted on a radiator directly the fan motor creates a dead-spot which leaves some of the radiator's surface unused, reducing the possible cooling performance. Multiple shrouds may also be used on top of each other using longer mounting screws to increase cooling performance even more. The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora GPX-N Acrylic Active Backplate for Geforce RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards is the perfect upgrade for Alphacool's Eisblock Aurora Acrylic GPX-N GPU custom water coolers (see compatibility details). With the help of the backplate, consisting of nickel-plated copper, the back of Geforce RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards can now also be actively water-cooled, thus achieving a significant increase in cooling performance. Connection options There are 2 different ways to incorporate the backplate into your existing watercooling loop: Variant 1 The cooler has an inlet and outlet with G1/4" internal thread on the top side respectively. With suitable connections and hoses/hard tubes, the backplate can be easily integrated into the water circuit. Variant 2 The cooler has an inlet and outlet on the side suitable for 5/3mm hoses. With the help of Alphacool's MCX 2x manifold with 5/3mm tubing (item 1022250), the active backplate can be easily integrated into the water circuit in a space-saving way. This variant is a sensible choice if there is little space in the PC case and tubing runs will be difficult to do. The Eisbaer Aurora LT Solo combines CPU cooling block, reservoir and pump in one product. The low construction height allows flexible use in a wide range of scenarios. Especially in small cases with little space, the Eisbaer Aurora LT Solo can convince. The product is also used as the basis of Alphacool's popular AiO water coolers. Radiator & Pump As with all Alphacool products, the radiator base is made of nickel-plated copper and is equipped with very fine cooling fins that are distributed over the entire base. A nozzle plate provides an accelerated flow over the cooling fins which increases the cooling performance. The water flow is optimized so that all areas of the cooler base are cooled evenly. The Eisbaer LT Aurora cooler uses the very compact and small DC-LT 2 pump. It provides enough power to add another component such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator to the circuit. Full Digital aRGB Illumination The cooler pump assembly and fans are fully equipped with Digital RGB LEDs, also known as addressable RGB or aRGB. Extensive effects can be set with the included controller or a Digital RGB controller on the motherboard. For a nice visual effect, of course, the illuminated polar bear on the cooler pump unit. With the “Eisbaer”, Alphacool is fundamentally revolutionizing the AIO cooler market. Where traditional AIO CPU-coolers are disposable products which are neither upgradeable nor refillable, the Alphacool “Eisbaer” is modularly built and can be upgraded, rebuilt or refilled at any time. This means that the “Eisbaer” is not only an AIO, but also fully built on classic water cooling components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution. Radiator Alphacool depends on a radiator made of pure copper. The base of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series, which is well-loved around the world. The pure copper construction raises the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminium radiators used in classic AIOs. The slight thickness of the fins ensures enormous cooling power in fans with low rotational speed. This ensures that the performance of the “Eisbaer” when adjusting the fans down decreases much more slowly than in radiators with higher fin thickness. Hoses The flexible PVC hoses make installing the “Eisbaer” easy. These hoses are easier to arrange and move into the right position. So the hoses don’t bend and stop the flow of the water, both hoses have been fit-ted with anti-kink springs. The 11/8 mm size is also a standard in the water cooling field, alongside the 13/10 and 16/10. Quick-lock closure The “Eisbaer” was designed with expandability directly in mind. This is why you’ll find a quick-lock closure on one of the hoses. This quick-lock mechanism is compatible with Alphacool HF quick-lock closures (1010383, 1010394, 1010395, 1010442), with which the circuit can easily be expanded to include anything from a radiator to a graphics card cooler. Furthermore, the “Eisbaer” is compatible with the upcoming Alphacool GPX-Pro graphics card AIO, which will use identical quick-lock closures. Connectors All connectors are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread in the water cooling field. This way, all attachments can be switched out for others any time as desired. This also means that, for example, you could later decide to switch to thicker hoses or even HardTubes and set your system uniquely apart. All these features make the “Eisbaer” cooler into something extraordinary. Its enhanced appearance from the illuminated logo and the illuminated reservoir, which also contains the pump, lets the interior of your PC shine in a whole new way. The soft-touch surface of the pump case is a further visual highlight. Pumps The basis of the pumps is the Alphacool DC-LT 2 Ceramic, also available separately. The pump runs extremely quietly and can be regulated to between 7 and 12V. It can also be regulated through the motherboard. If the “Eisbaer” is being run alone, the 7V setting will still have next to no performance loss, as shown in diverse test results. The insulated pump case further perfects the noise generation and ensures that vibrations are almost completely absorbed. The smooth and shiny polished copper base of the cooler ensures optimal heat absorption and can relay the heat over the fine slit structure of the cooler to the water quickly and efficiently. The Alphacool Eisblock XPX 1U is the Enterprise Solutions version of the well-known and popular Eisblock XPX CPU water cooler. It has been specially optimized for use in 1U server racks and has extended connection options. This allows for more connection options in the very tight 1U server racks and integrate it easily into a cooling loop. Many Connection Options Thanks to its extremely flat design, the Eisblock XPX 1U fits into any 1U server case. Due to the flat design of a 1U server rack, no inlets or outlets can be used on top of the CPU cooler as the total height of the CPU cooler including the fittings would no longer fit. Therefore, the Eisblock XPX 1U has further connection possibilities on the side of the cooler. There are altogether 3 x IN and 4 x OUT, with 2 x In and 3 x OUT mounted on the side. Straight fittings up to a size of 13/10 mm can be connected at the side. The Alphacool TPV connectors, which were specially developed for the Enterprise Solutions series, are ideal. The Alphacool XPX Eisblock is the newest generation in the CPU watercooling field and offers not only outstanding cooling performance but also many ways to customize your cooler. The XPX cooler’s performance has gotten a major upgrade compared to its predecessor, the NexXxoS XP3. This was only possible because Alphacool completely re-developed the Eisblock XPX cooler from the ground up. For one, the fin structure was refined to 0.2mm and the fin count raised to 81 fins. This makes for a much larger cooling surface through which water can flow. In order to ensure the water is evenly distributed over the cooling fins, Alphacool developed and patented the “Ramp”. It ensures there is no turbulence in the water flow over cooling fins, which would lead to uneven water distribution over the cooling fins. The Eisbaer LT Aurora CPU AIO water cooler offers extremely good cooling performance due to the high-end components, which includes a full copper radiator. The components used are all from Alphacool’s classic custom water cooling sector and can also be found in its enterprise products for servers. The Eisbaer LT Aurora can be expanded with additional components thanks to the quick-release fastener. At its heart, the DC-LT 2 pump The exceedingly small and compact DC-LT 2 pump has been further optimized compared to its predecessor. The impeller sits suspended on a ceramic axle and is supported by two magnets. A 3-phase sinusoidal drive ensures a much smoother running of the pump, which significantly contributes to minimizing noise. The pump offers enough power to add another component, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator, to the loop. Ideally, it is coupled with an Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO water cooler. This also uses a DC-LT 2 pump. DIY fittings and ES tubing The tubing and fittings come from the standard custom cooling segment and all use a standard G1/4" thread. Therefore, it is extremely easy to replace them. The black TPV hose comes, like the connectors, from the Alphacool ES series which is primarily installed in servers and workstations. The hose does not contain any plasticizers and, unlike classic PVC hoses, does not deform at high temperatures. The quick connector is not made of heavy brass, but of extremely light, durable and, robust nylon. The quick connector is compatible with many other models from the Alphacool product line. Cooler As with all Alphacool products, the cooler base is made of nickel-plated copper and is equipped with exceptionally fine cooling fins that are distributed over almost the entire base. A flow plate provides an accelerated flow over the cooling fins which increases the cooling performance. The water flow is optimized so that all areas of the cooler base are cooled evenly. Full Digital RGB Mounting The pump unit and fans are fully equipped with Digital RGB LEDs, also known as Addressable RGB or aRGB. Extensive effects can be set with the included controller or with the Digital RGB controller on the motherboard. For a nice visual effect, there is an illuminated polar bear (Eisbaer). For easier control via a controller, the fans and also the pumps can be connected in series via daisy-chain. This ensures a clean wiring of the individual LED components. The Eisbaer LT 92 has been launched especially for small form factor cases. The space SFF cases is extremely limited, therefore the Eisbaer LT 92 differs in several points from the normal Eisbaer LT. Perfect for SFF cases The cooling block and pump unit is only 40 mm high; this means it is smaller than the IO panel on the mainboard. This ensures that the Eisbaer LT 92 fits into almost every compact case on the market. The hose length is only 25 cm which means it is optimal for small cases in which the laying of long hoses can become a torture. This is one of the reasons why Alphacool does not use the usual quick release fasteners in the Eisbaer LT 92. Due to the compact dimensions of SFF cases, quick release fasteners can often be too cumbersome. Uncompromising with the materials As is usual with Alphacool, the radiator is made of copper and comes from the well-known NexXxoS series. The antechambers, cooling fins and the water channels are made entirely of copper. The heat capacity of copper is almost twice as high as that of aluminium, which is particularly noticeable when the radiator is driven to its performance limit. When a comparable aluminium radiator fails, the copper radiator really gets going. The cold plate of the Eisbaer LT 92 is also made of nickel-plated copper. The TPV hoses and TPV connections with G1/4" thread come from the Enterprise Solution series for servers and workstations. Pump The DC-LT 2 pump is already used in the normal Eisbaer, Eisbaer Aurora and the other Eisbaer LT CPU AIO water coolers. The new Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge CPU water cooler offers fantastic performance thanks to the patented ramp design as well as boasting excellent quality. The new Aurora design in combination with the addressable digital RGB illumination offers many possibilities for outstanding illumination of the CPU water block. Performance in abundance! Alphacool already developed and patented new flow technology for the first Alphacool Eisblock XPX series. The so-called "ramp system" ensures an even flow of water inside the cooler and sits in front of the diffuser plate. This ensures that the water is pressed evenly through the diffuser plate, which in turn pushes the water evenly over the cooling base. The cooling channels on the CPU cooler base has also been enlarged to a proud 34 x 32 mm to accommodate the ever-growing CPU DIEs. This is especially true for multi-core processors with 4, 6, 8 or even 12 and more CPU cores. So that the heat from the CPU can be transferred to the water as quickly as possible. 81 cooling fins can be found on the cooling plate to ensure maximum heat diffusion. The fin structure has been reduced to just 0.2 mm in order to create the largest possible surface area in the smallest possible space. And the lighting? The D-Plug from Alphacool's ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS series with 2 G1/4" male threads offers the possibility to connect components like GPU and CPU coolers or radiators within a water circuit. What's New? Compared to double nipples or similar adapters, the ES D-Plug is plugged and not screwed. The necessary stability is provided by two closely fitting O-rings on the Male component of the connector. Of course, the connector has been extensively tested in the Alphacool lab with the result that the D-Plug is stable up to 1.5 Bar. Uses Alphacool's ES D-Plug allows for easy connection of water cooling components such as graphics card and CPU coolers or radiators to each other. Since the connector is only plugged in and not screwed, easy installation or quick replacement are uncomplicated. The ES D-Plug has a variable length. By pulling the connector apart, an extension of up to 15 mm can be achieved. This flexibility allows compensation for inaccuracies in the system design and prevents hoses from twisting during assembly. Alphacool stellt die neuste Generation des Eisblock Aurora Wasserkühlers für Radeon RX 7XXX Grafikkarten vor. Technische Highlights Die Finnendicke dieser Eisblock-Kühlergeneration beträgt 0,4 mm, ebenso wie der Abstand der Kühlfinnen zueinander. Design Das Aurora-Design der Radeon RX 7XXX Eisblock-Generation ist optisch ruhiger und schlichter. Der Kühler wird von einem einzigen O-Ring umschlossen. Die Konstruktion rund um die Kühlfinnen und der Jetplate sorgt für eine klarere Optik. Die Beleuchtung der digital adressierbaren RGB-LEDs wird dank der Verchromung noch besser im Kühler verteilt. During the development of the EIsblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance.
