The bottom of the Eisstation is a metal plate that reduces vibrations and increases the stability of the Eisstation.Mounting possibilitiesThe installation options are numerous and comprehensive. The Eisstation can be screwed onto a 2.5” SSD bracket. It can also be mounted in a 3,5” bay. In either case, the special decoupling screws included with the Eisstation are used for mounting it. This minimises the transfer of vibrations to the case, lowering the operating volume significantly. Another installation option is the included Velcro fastener. One part of the Velcro is glued to the bottom of the Eisstation, while the other part is glued to the case. Then all that’s left is to press the Eisstation’s bottom against the corresponding Velcro on the case. The size of the Velcro ensures secure positioning even during transport. The Eisstation can be mounted vertically or horizontally, depending on personal taste and available space.Connection possibilitiesThere are four possibilities for connection. An IN and an OUT with G1/4 threads are located on the top, with the illuminated logo. In the cap, there is one G1/4” and one G3/8” connection available. The G3/8” connection, with its larger size, simplifies filling the Eisstation and can also serve as a lighting module for 5mm LEDs. Two additional 5mm LED places can be found in the bottom of the reservoir and illuminate the water-filled portion from below.A highlight of the Eisstation is the materials it is composed of. The bottom portion has a high-quality soft-touch surface which gives it an outstanding look and feel. The upper portion and the reservoir itself are not made of simple, easily breakable Plexiglas, but rather of extremely sturdy Nylon. During the development of the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All important components such as the voltage transformers and the memory are now significantly better and more effectively cooled by the water. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. New Design! The Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. The addressable digital RGB LEDs are embedded directly into the cooling block and run along the entire cooling block. The effect is an illumination of the entire cooling block. No corner or edge remains unlit by the aRGB LEDs. The new design is more angular with all edges bevelled. This promotes better light diffusion in the water cooler due to the reflections on these bevels. In addition, they create various contours, which give the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF cooler its very own unique identity. Copper or Aluminium? Of course, Alphacool only uses copper for its water coolers. With the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF, the copper is nickel-plated. Compared to its predecessor models, Alphacool has improved the nickel plating even further, which has considerably increased the acid resistance. This means that the nickel should resist flaking. Why does Alphacool rely on copper instead of aluminium? Simply, copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Is There Anything Else New? The Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. The Alphacool logo now sits in the corner on the top and is also fully illuminated. On the front of the terminal you can see the corresponding names of the compatible graphic card types. Of course, these are also fully illuminated by the digital LEDs. IN and OUT are now marked by small triangles. They are easily recognizable and fit perfectly into the entire aesthetics of the graphic card water cooler. You may have already seen the Alphacool Eiszyklon Aurora LUX Pro fan on the Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora series. It offers a wide control range as well as outstanding digital RGB LED lighting. The individually controllable 5V aRGB LEDs paired with the special design of the fan frame create unique effects. Ingenious Lighting The frame is equipped with digital addressable 5V RGB LEDs which illuminate the whole frame. The frame is not completely transparent, but the illumination is done through narrow slits in four places. On the upper side there are two rows of these slits. Each narrow frame runs along the inside and outside of the frame. This creates a unique illumination which looks very noble. Thanks to the recessed light diffusers the light is distributed evenly. This means that Individual LEDs are no longer visible. Wide Control Range and Silent The fan can be controlled via the 4-pin PWM connector between 600 and 1500rpm. At 600 rpm the fan is almost silent, but still of-fers a good airflow rate as well as a high static pressure. Therefore, the fan can also be used very well on radiators for a water cooling system. Thanks to the high airflow, the fan is also ideal for ventilating a case. Decouplers are also found directly on the frame. The soft foam padding reduces the transmission of vibrations to the case. A further plus point for the silent capability of the fan. Connections? The fan is controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. The cable is 50 cm long. This allows the fan to be connected to the mainboard or a special controller without any additional adapter cables or extensions. The digital aRGB LED lighting is controlled via a JST 3-pin connector.
