Socket-specific cooling motor Velocity² integrates a socket-specific motor with low hydraulic flow restriction and high performance cooling, achieved through a combination of mounting pressure and cold plate geometry tailored to the AMD AM5 socket's IHS and chip layout. The machined cold plate is precision-crafted to effectively cover the IHS and apply optimal pressure to the die area. An asymmetric nozzle plate cutout also directs flow to the areas where it is needed most. Velocity² series water blocks cover the entire socket while complying with socket guidelines for mounting pressure and socket protection zones. EK-ExactMount Due to the integrated, robust standard backplate included with AM5 motherboards, the patented EK-ExactMount mounting system has been redesigned for an even easier installation process. The end result is an even more user-friendly and "invisible" mounting mechanism, as the entire mounting system is located inside the water block and it is now a true one-piece product. The backplate is factory mounted on the motherboard and the spring-loaded Torx screws are integrated into the water block and are screwed into the motherboard's stock backplate by turning it counterclockwise. EK-ExactMount The integrated mounting screws feature a hard-stop design so that the block is perfectly mounted and tightened once the screws reach the end of the thread. This eliminates the risk of over-tightening the water block and potentially damaging your motherboard and/or CPU. Material and production of water blocks The cold plate is made from the highest quality 99.99% pure electrolytic copper, precision machined to ensure the best possible contact and heat transfer, and then nickel plated. This version of the water block features a nickel plated cold plate with a CNC machined durable black POM acetal. EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB LED lighting This product is compatible with all common addressable RGB synchronization technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow mark on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector must be aligned with the +5V mark on the D-RGB header. A total of 17 addressable RGB LEDs are hidden under the protruding part that acts as a diffuser.
