The aqualis series reservoirs are equipped with a borosilicate glass tube which, unlike the acrylic glass commonly used for tube reservoirs, has very high hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube has an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid of the aqualis series are made of Delrin, the lid and bottom are connected by a nickel-plated brass tube. A visual highlight is the integrated water column effect. Diese DC-Pumpe ist eine elektronisch kommutierte Kugelmotorpumpe, mit Laufzeiten von deutlich über 50.000 Stunden bei 12 Volt. Das einzig bewegliche Teil an einer Kugelmotorpumpe ist eine sphärisch geformte Rotor-/Laufradeinheit, die sich auf einer ultraharten, verschleißfesten Keramik-Lagerkugel abstützt. Eine konventionelle Welle mit Wellenlagern und Wellendichtungen ist nicht vorhanden.
