The Alphacool Subzero Thermal Grease is intended for all users who want to achieve optimum performance with their system. This electrically non-conductive thermal paste suitable for high contact pressures is an excellent choice when performance and ease of application are required.ApplicationSubzero Thermal Grease can be optimally applied due to its high viscosity. For perfect application of the thermal paste, a plastic spatula (included in delivery) or a comparable tool should be used.PropertiesAlphacool's Subzero Thermal Grease has a high thermal conductivity, making it one of the best performing thermal pastes on the market. Only thermal pastes made from liquid metal offer better thermal conductivity. Subzero Thermal Grease is delivered in an applicator with a screw cap. The amount of thermal grease is sufficient for several applications and can be stored in the applicator to protect it from drying out. A plastic spatula is included for perfect application of the thermal paste. Subzero Thermal Grease is non-conductive and non-caustic. The Alphacool Core reservoir combines performance with design. The tube of the reservoir is made of acrylic, the D5/VPP pump top and the lid of acetal. The combination of these two materials gives the expansion tank a discreet appearance. The wow effect is provided by 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top and the Lighttower water effect inside the acrylic tube. What's new? Compared to the previous Eisbecher models, the acrylic tube of the Core reservoir has an external thread. This provides more stability and safety when connecting the lid and pump top to the tube. Also new is the integrated digital aRGB lighting. 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top are included in the scope of delivery of the Core reservoir and no longer have to be purchased separately. Extensive mounting options Mounting option 1: Stands are included in the scope of delivery, which, among other things, allow the expansion tank to be mounted on the bottom of the enclosure. Mounting option 2: Included in the scope of delivery are 120mm/140mm mounting frames, which can be used to mount the Core expansion tank as desired on free fan spaces, radiators or on the fans on radiators. Digitally addressable RGB lighting 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs illuminate the aycryl tube of the reservoir. They are mounted in a ring at the lower end of the tube in the transition to the pump top and provide brilliant illumination of the entire expansion tank. In combination with the Lighttower water effect, a very special ambience is achieved. The digital aRGB LED lighting is connected via a JST 3-pin connector and can be controlled with a digital RGB controller (e.g. Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, Art.15360) or a digital RGB capable mainboard. Lighttower water effect A special water effect is created in the core reservoir via the riser tubes. If you do not fill the reservoir beyond the top edge of the riser tube, you get a kind of fountain effect. In this case, the water is pushed out the sides of the riser tube and splashed against the glass tube. Depending on the flow of the circuit, the effect is stronger or weaker. The effect can be placed at the lower or upper inlet using the riser tubes included in the delivery. Pump compatibility The Alphacool Core expansion tank has an integrated pump top and is compatible with all original D5 pumps as well as all Alphacool VPP pumps. The pump retaining ring, a pump O-ring and all screws are included in the scope of delivery. The Alphacool Core Reservoir not only looks sleek with its aRGB lighting, but can also be used flexibly thanks to its compact size. The reservoir is made entirely of acrylic. The installation of a D5 or VPP pump is required for operation. Due to its compact design, the Core Reservior also fits into small cases.Core DesignA key element of Alphacool's Core Design series are the chrome-plated G1/4" connections made of brass. In the Core Reservoir, the connections are recessed rather than screwed into a thread, bypassing the problem of possible leaks due to cracking from the direct screwing of the connections into the acrylic. The connections are in two parts, fitted with an O-ring and counter each other when mounted in the acrylic. This not only ensures absolute sealing of each connection, but also allows for the clear and functional appearance of the Alphacool Core Design series.Easy installationWith the included Core Push Mounting kit, the Core Reservoir can be mounted on the case or on a radiator. The metal pins are attached to the radiator or case panel and the matching female sleeves are attached to the Reservoir (see manual). In the next installation step, the Reservoir is simply and tool-free pushed onto the pins. Alphacool's Push-Mounting allows for a secure fit of the reservoir on the case panel or on the radiator and allows for easy disassembly for maintenance or expansion projects.GamechangerThe Core Reservior is small and compact. This easy-to-apply and flexible material serves as a "gap filler," effectively compensating for height differences. It is an ideal replacement for thermal pads on graphics cards, where different pad thicknesses are typically used. When replacing pads or upgrading to a GPU water block, multiple thermal pad sizes are usually required. TG Putty can be applied using the included spatulas or by hand (gloves recommended). The spatula allows for smooth, even application over larger areas, while alternatively, the putty can be shaped into small beads that precisely fit components such as VRAM or SMDs. TG Putty can compensate for height differences ranging from 0.2 mm to 3.0 mm. Available Variants:TG Putty comes in three versions, each offering different levels of thermal conductivity: TG Putty Basic – Medium thermal conductivity TG Putty Advance – Good thermal conductivity TG Putty Pro – High thermal conductivity For upgrading a smaller graphics card without an active backplate (e.g., GeForce GTX 1060), a single 30g jar of TG Putty is usually sufficient.
