The cuplex kryos NEXT from Aquacomputer represents a new milestone in the development of CPU water coolers. The areas of cooling performance, assembly and functionality have been perfected here. Through an integrated flat nozzle in the cooler housing, the coolant flows in the middle of the extremely fine microstructure of the cooler base and thus sets new standards for cooling performance. The radiator base is made of nickel, the housing is made of white acetal with an anodized aluminum cover. The mounting system is made of solid stainless steel sheet 2.5mm thick. The nickel-plated spring cups are pressed in here. By attaching the cooler to the mainboard with knurled screws and springs, the mounting system is visually very tidy due to the low height. The bracket has a defined stop for optimal contact pressure and force distribution. With the cuplex kryos NEXT for socket 2011, 2066, AM4 and TR4, no additional backplate is required, as this is already part of the mainboard processor socket. The cooler comes with the excellent thermal paste from Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 0.5 grams. This is the 2nd generation Vector GPU water block from the EK® Quantum Line, designed for AORUS® Xtreme and Master RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards based on the latest NVIDIA® Ampere™ architecture. An EK water block for Xtreme and Master RTX 3080 and 3090 EK-Quantum Vector Xtreme 3080/3090 D-RGB - Nickel + Acetal water block is compatible with Aorus Xtreme and Master RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards. The Vector water block actively cools the GPU, VRAM (on the front), power stages, and chokes in the VRM (voltage regulation module). These newly developed water blocks feature optimized flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. The EK-Quantum Vector Series water blocks use an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings, and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation. The Eisbaer LT Aurora CPU AIO water cooler offers extremely good cooling performance due to the high-end components, which includes a full copper radiator. The components used are all from Alphacool’s classic custom water cooling sector and can also be found in its enterprise products for servers. The Eisbaer LT Aurora can be expanded with additional components thanks to the quick-release fastener. At its heart, the DC-LT 2 pump The exceedingly small and compact DC-LT 2 pump has been further optimized compared to its predecessor. The impeller sits suspended on a ceramic axle and is supported by two magnets. A 3-phase sinusoidal drive ensures a much smoother running of the pump, which significantly contributes to minimizing noise. The pump offers enough power to add another component, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator, to the loop. Ideally, it is coupled with an Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO water cooler. This also uses a DC-LT 2 pump. DIY fittings and ES tubing The tubing and fittings come from the standard custom cooling segment and all use a standard G1/4" thread. Therefore, it is extremely easy to replace them. The black TPV hose comes, like the connectors, from the Alphacool ES series which is primarily installed in servers and workstations. The hose does not contain any plasticizers and, unlike classic PVC hoses, does not deform at high temperatures. The quick connector is not made of heavy brass, but of extremely light, durable and, robust nylon. The quick connector is compatible with many other models from the Alphacool product line. Cooler As with all Alphacool products, the cooler base is made of nickel-plated copper and is equipped with exceptionally fine cooling fins that are distributed over almost the entire base. A flow plate provides an accelerated flow over the cooling fins which increases the cooling performance. The water flow is optimized so that all areas of the cooler base are cooled evenly. Full Digital RGB Mounting The pump unit and fans are fully equipped with Digital RGB LEDs, also known as Addressable RGB or aRGB. Extensive effects can be set with the included controller or with the Digital RGB controller on the motherboard. For a nice visual effect, there is an illuminated polar bear (Eisbaer). The Alphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora CPU AIO water cooler is a special development for processors with particularly large CPU dies. These include the AMD Threadripper and Epyc processors and the Intel CPUs for the LGA 3647 and LGA 4189 socket.Large cooling surfaceThe cold plate bottom covers the entire surface of the respective processors. The area of the cooling fins exceeds all known processor cores with an area of around 55 x 42 mm. This ensures that all hotspots of a CPU are directly covered and thus optimally cooled. The cooling fins are 0.4 mm thick and also have an optimal distance of 0.4 mm between them. In total there are 58 cooling fins on the bottom of the cooler. The bottom of the cooler is only 3 mm thick, which allows the heat to reach the water and be dissipated as quickly as possible.Copper radiatorAs per usual with Alphacool, the radiators are made of copper. Alphacool is the first manufacturer worldwide to use copper for all water bearing components such as the antechambers, the cooling fins and the cooling channels to which the fins are soldered. The connection threads are made of brass for strength reasons. In addition, the cooling fins are only lightly painted. On closer inspection the copper shimmers through a little. A thick lacquer coating would result in a reduction of the cooling capacity. The fin density is at optimal 15FPI. Therefore the radiator works perfectly even at low airflow. A too high fin density would require fans with higher speed to achieve the same cooling capacity. A lower fin density would no longer benefit from fast rotating fans. So the golden mean was chosen.Real water coolingThe Eisbaer Pro Aurora consists almost entirely of actual water cooling components. The extremely robust and durable TPV hoses are used in the enterprise products for servers and workstations. The hose connections also come from the Enterprise series from Alphacool and use the standard G1/4". This makes the Eisbaer Pro Aurora fully compatible with all common water cooling products. The quick-release fastener allows easy expansion of the AIO with additional components. The most important of these are the prefilled radiators and the Eiswolf GPU AIO water cooling system.Fan and lightingThe entire Eisbaer Aurora Pro cooler is equipped with addressable digital RGB LEDs. This gives a real eye-catcher in the Case. The fan used is the Aurora Rise with 120mm. Due to the special blade design, the fan is extremely quiet and the addressable RGB LEDs provide brilliant illumination. The Alphacool Aurora Rise fan convinces with a max. statistical pressure of 3.17mm/H2O and offers a max. air flow of 119.8m3/h. The PWM control allows the fan to be controlled over a wide speed range. Inaddition, it offers a zero control. It can therefore be regulated down to 0 rpm and then starts with approx. 350 rpm. Of courseall Digital RGB LEDs can be controlled at will. Depending on the controller almost all effects are possible.How to connect everythingThe fans are normally controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. An included Y-adapter for the fans makes it easy to connect them to the mainboard. This allows all fans to be controlled and regulated via one connector. Each fan has a 3-pin JST connector including Y-adapter for the LED illumination. This allows the fans to be connected directly together and can also be controlled simultaneously via a controller. For the connection to a typical 3-pin 5V connector a corresponding adapter is included. Alternatively, the included Digital RGB controller can be used. The pump of the Eisbaer Aurora uses a 3-pin Molex connector. This can also be connected to the mainboard.The Eisbaer Pro Aurora is a true multi-talent.
