Der Thermal Grizzly CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT ist die „Lite“-Version des Intel 13th/14th Gen CPU Contact Frames und wird im kostengünstigen Spritzgussverfahren hergestellt. Um die notwendige Stabilität für den Contact Frame zu erreichen, wird ein hochwertiges Acrylnitril-Butadien-Styrol-Copolymer mit einem 15-prozentigen Glasfaseranteil verwendet. Die Innenkontur der Lite-Version ist identisch mit der des aus Aluminium gefrästen Frames. Der standardmäßige Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) verfügt über Kontaktpunkte, die sich in der Mitte der länglichen CPU befinden. Durch den daraus resultierenden ungleichmäßigen Anpressdruck des Prozessors in den Sockel, wölbt sich die Oberfläche des Integrated Heatspreader (IHS) konkav. Dadurch liegt die Bodenplatte des CPU-Kühlers hauptsächlich auf den Kanten des IHS auf, so dass der thermische "Hotspot" in der Mitte der CPU nicht optimal abgedeckt wird. Der CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT hat eine spezielle Innenkontur, um den Anpressdruck bei der Montage von der Mitte der CPU zu den Kanten zu verlagern. Dadurch wird die konkave Wölbung des IHS vermieden. Dies führt dazu, dass CPU-Kühler besser auf dem Prozessor aufliegen und eine größere Kontaktfläche haben, um die Abwärme der CPU abzuleiten. Die Installation des Contact Frames ist sehr einfach und erfordert nur wenige Schritte. Je nach CPU-Kühler und verwendeter CPU können die Temperaturen des Prozessors spürbar gesenkt werden. Der CPU Contact Frame Intel 1700 LT ist mit Prozessoren der 12., 13. und 14. Generation für den Sockel LGA1700 kompatibel. Zusätzlich ist der Frame mit CPUs kompatibel, deren Integrated Heatspreader (IHS) um nicht mehr als 0,2 Millimeter abgeschliffen wurde. Bei der Montage ist darauf zu achten, dass sich keine elektronischen Bauteile unter dem Frame befinden. Hierauf ist besonders bei Mainboards mit dem Mini-ITX-Formfaktor zu achten.
