With the “Eisbaer”, Alphacool is fundamentally revolutionizing the AIO cooler market. Where traditional AIO CPU-coolers are disposable products which are neither upgradeable nor refillable, the Alphacool “Eisbaer” is modularly built and can be upgraded, rebuilt or refilled at any time. This means that the “Eisbaer” is not only an AIO, but also fully built on classic water cooling components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution. Radiator Alphacool depends on a radiator made of pure copper. The base of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series, which is well-loved around the world. The pure copper construction raises the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminium radiators used in classic AIOs. The slight thickness of the fins ensures enormous cooling power in fans with low rotational speed. This ensures that the performance of the “Eisbaer” when adjusting the fans down decreases much more slowly than in radiators with higher fin thickness. Hoses The flexible PVC hoses make installing the “Eisbaer” easy. These hoses are easier to arrange and move into the right position. So the hoses don’t bend and stop the flow of the water, both hoses have been fit-ted with anti-kink springs. The 11/8 mm size is also a standard in the water cooling field, alongside the 13/10 and 16/10. Quick-lock closure The “Eisbaer” was designed with expandability directly in mind. This is why you’ll find a quick-lock closure on one of the hoses. This quick-lock mechanism is compatible with Alphacool HF quick-lock closures (1010383, 1010394, 1010395, 1010442), with which the circuit can easily be expanded to include anything from a radiator to a graphics card cooler. Furthermore, the “Eisbaer” is compatible with the upcoming Alphacool GPX-Pro graphics card AIO, which will use identical quick-lock closures. Fans The Eiswind fans were specially designed for use in radiators and provide very high static pressure to force cool air through the radiator’s cooling fins. Both fans can be regulated via PWM over an enormous range of 550 to 1700 RPM. A PWM Y-adapter is included with the Eisbaer LT, so both fans can be connected to a PWM connection on your motherboard or a separate fan controller. Connectors All connectors are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread in the water cooling field. This way, all attachments can be switched out for others any time as desired. This also means that, for example, you could later decide to switch to thicker hoses or even HardTubes and set your system uniquely apart. All these features make the “Eisbaer” cooler into something extraordinary. Its enhanced appearance from the illuminated logo and the illuminated reservoir, which also contains the pump, lets the interior of your PC shine in a whole new way. The soft-touch surface of the pump case is a further visual highlight. Pumps The basis of the pumps is the Alphacool DC-LT 2 Ceramic, also available separately. The pump runs extremely quietly and can be regulated to between 7 and 12V. It can also be regulated through the motherboard. If the “Eisbaer” is being run alone, the 7V setting will still have next to no performance loss, as shown in diverse test results. The insulated pump case further perfects the noise generation and ensures that vibrations are almost completely absorbed. The smooth and shiny polished copper base of the cooler ensures optimal heat absorption and can relay the heat over the fine slit structure of the cooler to the water quickly and efficiently. With the “Eisbaer”, you get an all-around perfect product that is not only extremely high-powered but also works very quietly. With the Alphacool XPX Aurora Pro Eisblock, Alphacool offers a CPU water cooler specially designed for processors with particularly large processor cores. These currently include the AMD Threadripper models and processors from Intel for the LGA 2066 socket and the LGA 3647 server socket in narrow ILM design. As a CPU cooler from the Aurora Design line, the CPU cooler naturally offers integrated digital aRGB lighting. Extremely powerful The cooler base has been specially optimized for the large processor cores. With an area of 42 x 58.6 mm and 147 cooling fins the cooling area has been significantly increased. As a comparison, an Alphacool XPX Aurora Eisblock has 81 cooling fins to completely cover the processor core of a normal CPU. Both coolers use the same fin type with a thickness of only 0.2 mm. This clearly shows how far Alphacool has gone to offer the best possible performance. The entire cooler base is of course made of nickel-plated copper and not aluminium. This is due to the increased thermal conductivity of copper. It is almost twice as high as that of aluminium. How is the CPU cooler illuminated? As with all new Eisblock CPU water coolers, Alphacool relies on an integrated aRGB solution. An aluminium frame is flush with the CPU cooler. Of course, the aluminium does not come into contact with the water. The LED frame contains up to 14 addressable digital RGB LEDs. This is more than enough to illuminate the entire cooler even and brightly. The intensity of the illumination can of course be controlled by an appropriate controller. Due to the use of digital RGB LEDs, all known effects can be created, because each LED can be controlled separately with the right controller. The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Pro cooler can also be connected and controlled via the 3-pin 5V connector on any compatible mainboard. The cable also has an integrated Y-adapter. This makes it easy to connect further Alphacool Aurora products in series without having to order separate Y-adapters. Only additional extension cables may be needed if you want to connect the products in series. Is the assembly difficult? Installation is child's play. Remove the protective film from the base of the cooler, apply some of the enclosed thermal paste to the CPU and then attach the cooler to the board. Depending on the base, the mounting screws are either screwed on before or after mounting. No tools are necessary for the assembly. Alphacool uses knurled screws, which allow a quick and easy assembly. Finally Acryl! The Alphacool Eisblock XPX Aurora Pro is the technical brother of the Eisblock XPX Pro 1U cooler, which was developed especially for the use in server housings. During the development the functionality had a much higher priority than the design, which was kept practical and discreet. The Eisblock XPX Aurora Pro has been optically adapted to the Aurora products and now offers the same design features as you are used to from the Aurora series. This allows you to perfectly match your entire system to each other optically and you don't have to make any compromises. Thanks to the plexiglass look, you can see the water flow beautifully. The Alphacool ES GPX Copper/Carbon water cooler with backplate was developed for the Alphacool Enterprise Series. Due to the positioning of the connections, the hosing of the cooler in the server rack is significantly simplified. The top of the cooler is made of carbon. This makes the water cooler lighter compared to Alphacool's Eisblocks with acetal or acrylic tops. Thanks to the compact design, only 1 slot is needed to mount the cooler in the server rack instead of 1.5 slots as before. This additional space saving is one more argument for using the ES GPX Copper/Carbon graphics card water cooler. More performance! Alphacool manages to position the cooler as close as possible to the components to be cooled. For this purpose, the heat conducting pads used are reduced to a thickness of 1mm. The maximum possible reduction in the thickness of the copper block and the optimization of the water flow inside the cooler allow all important components such as GPU, voltage converters and VRAMs to be cooled by water much better and more effectively. All of this provides a significant increase in cooling performance. Connections on the back? In order to save space in the width and height during installation, the water input and output have been moved to the back of the cooling block. This positioning of the connections makes hosing much easier. It enables easy integration of the GPU cooler into the water circuit even in the tightest server housings. Copper or aluminum? Alphacool uses only copper for all water-bearing parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore clearly the better choice of material for water cooling. The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Thermal paste & thermal pads The included thermal paste is Alphacool's Subzero with a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mk. The electrically non-conductive thermal paste is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be perfectly applied due to its viscosity of 850000 TF. For the thermal pads, Alphacool uses soft pads that fit perfectly to the components to be cooled and are very durable. The 2mm and 3mm thick pads have a thermal conductivity of 3 W/mk. The 1mm thick pads can dissipate 7 W/mk of heat. Discreet appearance The matte carbon finish gives the cooler a noble appearance. This makes it additionally interesting for private users who want to do without aRGB lighting.
