The Alphacool Eiszapfen is a rotatable 8 mm offset fitting with one internal thread and one external thread that can be easily tied into any water circuit. Integration made easy The offset piece is very compact and can be integrated into any water cooling system thanks to its G1/4" internal and external threads. It is simply screwed onto the corresponding G1/4" connections at the desired position in the water circuit. Design The threads are 5mm deep and 5mm high respectively, thus enabling the very compact design. The new Eiszapfen PRO hard tube fittings from Alphacool are the next step in development for the familiar Eiszapfen fittings. In the development of the fittings Alphacool concentrated on a specific problem, deforming PETG hard tubes at high temperatures. PETG can start to deform at 60°C. Although such a temperature is usually rarely reached, it can still occur. The Eiszapfen PRO fittings prevent this problem from the outset and hold the tubes in position. The deformation is prevented by the new nylon inserts inside and stabilizes the hard tubes. Furthermore, the fitting still has an O-ring and a compression seal. However, the contact area is much larger than with normal O-rings, which provides a better grip. With the insert and the compression seal, the tube is strengthened from the inside and outside. Even under heavy loads the HardTube does not slip. Alphacool has tested the tensile strength of up to over 8kg, so there is no need to worry about loose tubing. The Alphacool Eisbecher Aurora reservoir has an integrated pump top for powerful D5 pumps and comes with a VPP Apex pump. The tube of the reservoir is made of glass, the D5/VPP pump top and the lid of acetal. The combination of these two materials gives the expansion tank a magnificent appearance. The wow effect is provided by 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top and the Lighttower water effect inside the glass tube.Extensive mounting optionsMounting option 1:Stands are included in the scope of delivery, which, among other things, allow the expansion tank to be mounted on the bottom of the enclosure. Mounting option 2:Included in the scope of delivery are 120mm/140mm mounting frames, which can be used to mount the Eisbecher Aurora expansion tank as desired on free fan spaces, radiators or on the fans on radiators.Digitally addressable RGB lighting12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs illuminate the glass tube of the reservoir. PumpThe VPP Apex pump does without a spherical bearing and uses a ceramic shaft. The motor's coils have been moved from the inside to the outside. These changes have the effect that the pump is fundamentally more stable and smoother running, and any vibrations that arise have been significantlyreduced. Another positive side effect is that power consumption has been almost halved as a result. Compared to Alphacool's Eispumpe, the power is not supplied via a 4-pin Molex connector. Instead, the Apex VPP pump is connected to the power supply using a SATA connector. The Apex VPP pump has a 4-pin fan connector that connects to the motherboard or to an external controller. This allows you to control the speed range of the pump via PWM and read out the RPM signal.
