Can the Eisbaer from Alphacool become even better? Absolutely! Would the Eisbaer look even more impressive with aRGB? Definitely yes!! The Eisbaer Aurora AIO still cools the CPU with the well-known and high-quality copper cooler of the Eisbaer, although the surface area has been enlarged, compared to its predecessor. Also, the pump works much more efficiently with 10% more power, with reduced noise level. The hoses and fittings have also been completely revised and are now much smoother and more inconspicuous. Since durable TPV hose and fittings from the Enterprise Solution series are now used, safety and durability is also one of the features. For more individuality, fittings and hose can be easily replaced thanks to the G1/4 fittings. The Eisbaer Aurora, as before, can be expanded via the quick release fasteners. Also refilling is still possible. The most striking feature of the Eisbaer Aurora is the addressable RGB LED lighting. Here the focus is on the Eisbaer pump and the stylish Aurora LUX Pro fans. Alphacools HardTube family does get an additional sibling. The new HardTubes made out of borosilicate glass certainly bring a new level of quality into every system. The previous method that has been most commonly used for water cooling systems is normal PVC hoses - now Alphacool introduces a new approach to water cooling. The Alphacool HardTube additionally brings more tidiness into the system which enables a further structured impression. Borosilicate glass ticks every box on the checking list for watercooling systems. Stability and a brilliant appearance are not the only qualities that should lead to chosing this glass as even most chemicals and temperature flactuations can not harm the borosilicate glass. The whole chemical industry is depending on this glass and we can certainly say that this is not without reason. All glass tubes are compatible with the Alphacool HardTube connectors. Alphacool currently offers two classical sizes. One tube with a 16mm outer diameter and another with 13mm outer diameter. To cut the tubes for the preferred length Alphacool recommends using a diamand cutting disc for the Dremel®. This is the 2nd generation Vector GPU water block from the EK® Quantum Line, designed for ASUS® TUF RTX 3070 graphics cards based on the latest NVIDIA® Ampere™ architecture. EK-Quantum Vector TUF 3070 D-RGB water block is compatible with ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3070 graphics cards.The Vector water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM, and the VRM (voltage regulation module) as a cooling liquid is channeled right over these critical areas. The water block is in contact with the power stages and inductors of the VRM. These newly developed water blocks feature optimized flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. Additionally, this new design allows the terminal to be screwed directly onto the copper cold plate of the GPU block, making it more rigid and reducing the chances of damaging the water block. The EK-Quantum Vector Series water blocks use an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. With the “Eisbaer”, Alphacool is fundamentally revolutionizing the AIO cooler market. Where traditional AIO CPU-coolers are disposable products which are neither upgradeable nor refillable, the Alphacool “Eisbaer” is modularly built and can be upgraded, rebuilt or refilled at any time. This means that the “Eisbaer” is not only an AIO, but also fully built on classic water cooling components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution. Radiator Alphacool depends on a radiator made of pure copper. The base of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series, which is well-loved around the world. The pure copper construction raises the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminium radiators used in classic AIOs. The slight thickness of the fins ensures enormous cooling power in fans with low rotational speed. This ensures that the performance of the “Eisbaer” when adjusting the fans down decreases much more slowly than in radiators with higher fin thickness. Hoses The flexible PVC hoses make installing the “Eisbaer” easy. These hoses are easier to arrange and move into the right position. So the hoses don’t bend and stop the flow of the water, both hoses have been fit-ted with anti-kink springs. The 11/8 mm size is also a standard in the water cooling field, alongside the 13/10 and 16/10. Quick-lock closure The “Eisbaer” was designed with expandability directly in mind. This is why you’ll find a quick-lock closure on one of the hoses. This quick-lock mechanism is compatible with Alphacool HF quick-lock closures (1010383, 1010394, 1010395, 1010442), with which the circuit can easily be expanded to include anything from a radiator to a graphics card cooler. Furthermore, the “Eisbaer” is compatible with the upcoming Alphacool GPX-Pro graphics card AIO, which will use identical quick-lock closures. Fans The Eiswind fans were specially designed for use in radiators and provide very high static pressure to force cool air through the radiator’s cooling fins. Both fans can be regulated via PWM over an enormous range of 550 to 1700 RPM. A PWM Y-adapter is included with the Eisbaer LT, so both fans can be connected to a PWM connection on your motherboard or a separate fan controller. Connectors All connectors are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread in the water cooling field. This way, all attachments can be switched out for others any time as desired. This also means that, for example, you could later decide to switch to thicker hoses or even HardTubes and set your system uniquely apart. All these features make the “Eisbaer” cooler into something extraordinary. Its enhanced appearance from the illuminated logo and the illuminated reservoir, which also contains the pump, lets the interior of your PC shine in a whole new way. The soft-touch surface of the pump case is a further visual highlight. Pumps The basis of the pumps is the Alphacool DC-LT 2 Ceramic, also available separately. The pump runs extremely quietly and can be regulated to between 7 and 12V. It can also be regulated through the motherboard. If the “Eisbaer” is being run alone, the 7V setting will still have next to no performance loss, as shown in diverse test results. The insulated pump case further perfects the noise generation and ensures that vibrations are almost completely absorbed. The smooth and shiny polished copper base of the cooler ensures optimal heat absorption and can relay the heat over the fine slit structure of the cooler to the water quickly and efficiently. With the “Eisbaer”, you get an all-around perfect product that is not only extremely high-powered but also works very quietly.
