With the “Eisbaer” Quick-Connect Extension Kit, expanding an “Eisbaer” or “Eiswolf” GPX-Pro cooler loop with additional components is simple. For example, it’s easy to add another radiator, an additional cooler or any other components. The kit consists of two 32cm-long hoses in 11/8 format, encased in anti-kink springs. This prevents bending in the hoses, and thereby prevents interruptions to the flow of water. Safety is our top priority. Two ends have 90° angled pieces, pre-installed on the hoses. The only thing you need to do is screw these into the corresponding G1/4” threads. On the other end are the ends of two quick-release safety locks from the Alphacool HF series, just like the ones found on the “Eisbaer” or “Eiswolf”. That means all you have to do is open the quick-release locks on the “Eisbaer” or “Eiswolf” and screw them together with the corresponding parts in this kit and an additional product for extension, and your loop is complete - after it’s been filled, of course. For that, this kit includes a squeeze bottle with 250mL of osmosis filtered water. With the squeeze bottle, the loop can easily be filled at the designated spots. On the “Eisbaer”, for example, this would be the fill port on the “Eisbaer” cooler. The Alphacool Helix Eisbecher captivates with its unique Helix Optic, including elegant aluminium caps for its upper and bottom sides. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the chrome-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance.New Design!The Eisblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. Alphacool uses only copper for all water-bearing parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore clearly the better choice of material for water cooling. The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating.Is There Anything Else New?The Eisblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. The Alphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora CPU AIO water cooler is a special development for processors with particularly large CPU dies. These include the AMD Threadripper and Epyc processors and the Intel CPUs for the LGA 3647 socket. With the included AM4 mounting bracket, the Alphacool Eisbaer Pro CPU cooler can also be used on AMD Ryzen processors. Large cooling surface The cold plate bottom covers the entire surface of the respective processors. The area of the cooling fins exceeds all known processor cores with an area of around 55 x 42 mm. This ensures that all hotspots of a CPU are directly covered and thus optimally cooled. With the additionally available AM4 bracket, cooling an AMD Ryzen processor is also child's play. The cooling fins are 0.4 mm thick and also have an optimal distance of 0.4 mm between them. In total there are 58 cooling fins on the bottom of the cooler. The bottom of the cooler is only 3 mm thick, which allows the heat to reach the water and be dissipated as quickly as possible. Copper radiator As per usual with Alphacool, the radiators are made of copper. Alphacool is the first manufacturer worldwide to use copper for all water bearing components such as the antechambers, the cooling fins and the cooling channels to which the fins are soldered. The connection threads are made of brass for strength reasons. In addition, the cooling fins are only lightly painted. On closer inspection the copper shimmers through a little. A thick lacquer coating would result in a reduction of the cooling capacity. The fin density is at optimal 15FPI. Therefore the radiator works perfectly even at low airflow. A too high fin density would require fans with higher speed to achieve the same cooling capacity. A lower fin density would no longer benefit from fast rotating fans. So the golden mean was chosen. Real water cooling The Eisbaer Pro Aurora consists almost entirely of actual water cooling components. The extremely robust and durable TPV hoses are used in the enterprise products for servers and workstations. The hose connections also come from the Enterprise series from Alphacool and use the standard G1/4". This makes the Eisbaer Pro Aurora fully compatible with all common water cooling products. The quick-release fastener allows easy expansion of the AIO with additional components. The most important of these are the prefilled radiators and the Eiswolf GPU AIO water cooling system. Fan and lighting The entire Eisbaer Aurora Pro cooler is equipped with addressable digital RGB LEDs. This gives a real eye-catcher in the Case. The Alphacool Rise Aurora fans are also fully illuminated with 5V aRGB LEDs. The fan frame a unique pattern with many small cutouts that create a particularly noble effect. You do not see individual LEDs and the lighting is much more interesting than a simple LED ring. Of course all Digital RGB LEDs can be controlled at will. Depending on the controller almost all effects are possible. How to connect everything The fans are normally controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. An included Y-adapter for the fans makes it easy to connect them to the mainboard. This allows all fans to be controlled and regulated via one connector. Each fan has a 3-pin JST connector including Y-adapter for the LED illumination. This allows the fans to be connected directly together and can also be controlled simultaneously via a controller. For the connection to a typical 3-pin 5V connector a corresponding adapter is included. Alternatively, the included Digital RGB controller can be used. During the development of the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All important components such as the voltage transformers and the memory are now significantly better and more effectively cooled by the water. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. New Design! The Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. The addressable digital RGB LEDs are embedded directly into the cooling block and run along the entire cooling block. The effect is an illumination of the entire cooling block. No corner or edge remains unlit by the aRGB LEDs. The new design is more angular with all edges bevelled. This promotes better light diffusion in the water cooler due to the reflections on these bevels. In addition, they create various contours, which give the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF cooler its very own unique identity. Copper or Aluminium? Of course, Alphacool only uses copper for its water coolers. With the Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF, the copper is nickel-plated. Compared to its predecessor models, Alphacool has improved the nickel plating even further, which has considerably increased the acid resistance. This means that the nickel should resist flaking. Why does Alphacool rely on copper instead of aluminium? Simply, copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Is There Anything Else New? The Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3070 DUAL/TUF also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. The Alphacool logo now sits in the corner on the top and is also fully illuminated. On the front of the terminal you can see the corresponding names of the compatible graphic card types. Of course, these are also fully illuminated by the digital LEDs. IN and OUT are now marked by small triangles. They are easily recognizable and fit perfectly into the entire aesthetics of the graphic card water cooler. You may have already seen the Alphacool Eiszyklon Aurora LUX Pro fan on the Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora series. It offers a wide control range as well as outstanding digital RGB LED lighting. The individually controllable 5V aRGB LEDs paired with the special design of the fan frame create unique effects. Ingenious Lighting The frame is equipped with digital addressable 5V RGB LEDs which illuminate the whole frame. The frame is not completely transparent, but the illumination is done through narrow slits in four places. On the upper side there are two rows of these slits. Each narrow frame runs along the inside and outside of the frame. This creates a unique illumination which looks very noble. Thanks to the recessed light diffusers the light is distributed evenly. This means that Individual LEDs are no longer visible. Wide Control Range and Silent The fan can be controlled via the 4-pin PWM connector between 600 and 1500rpm. At 600 rpm the fan is almost silent, but still of-fers a good airflow rate as well as a high static pressure. Therefore, the fan can also be used very well on radiators for a water cooling system. Thanks to the high airflow, the fan is also ideal for ventilating a case. Decouplers are also found directly on the frame. The soft foam padding reduces the transmission of vibrations to the case. A further plus point for the silent capability of the fan. Connections? The fan is controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. The cable is 50 cm long. This allows the fan to be connected to the mainboard or a special controller without any additional adapter cables or extensions. The digital aRGB LED lighting is controlled via a JST 3-pin connector.
