Build your own AIO water cooling system. Alongside the different prefilled Eisbaer Aurora CPU AIO watercoolers that can be used "Out of the Box", the core of the Eisbaer Aurora is also available as a solo version. With it you can decide how you want to build your water cooling loop and which parts you want to use for it. The Alphacool Eisbaer Pro Aurora offers a much larger cooling surface than the normal Eisbaer Aurora. It was specially developed for extremely large CPU DIEs and fully covers processors such as the AMD Threadripper but also the AMD Ryzen CPUs. The Eisbaer Pro has also been designed for the Intel Socket 3647 to ensure the best possible cooling performance of the entire CPU. The Eisbaer Pro Aurora is a true multi-talent. Expandable, fully compatible with DIY water cooling components and it is the optimal solution for the most powerful processors on the market. Large cooling surface The cold plate bottom covers the entire surface of the respective processors. The area of the cooling fins exceeds all known processor cores with an area of around 55 x 42mm. This ensures that all hotspots of a CPU are directly covered and thus optimally cooled. With the included AM4 bracket, cooling an AMD Ryzen processor is also child's play. The Eisbaer Aurora LT Solo combines CPU cooling block, reservoir and pump in one product. The low construction height allows flexible use in a wide range of scenarios. With the “Eisbaer”, Alphacool is fundamentally revolutionizing the AIO cooler market. Where traditional AIO CPU-coolers are disposable products which are neither upgradeable nor refillable, the Alphacool “Eisbaer” is modularly built and can be upgraded, rebuilt or refilled at any time. This means that the “Eisbaer” is not only an AIO, but also fully built on classic water cooling components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution. Radiator Alphacool depends on a radiator made of pure copper. The base of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series, which is well-loved around the world. The pure copper construction raises the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminium radiators used in classic AIOs. The slight thickness of the fins ensures enormous cooling power in fans with low rotational speed. The Alphacool Eisblock XPX 1U is the Enterprise Solutions version of the well-known and popular Eisblock XPX CPU water cooler. It has been specially optimized for use in 1U server racks and has extended connection options. This allows for more connection options in the very tight 1U server racks and integrate it easily into a cooling loop. Many Connection Options Thanks to its extremely flat design, the Eisblock XPX 1U fits into any 1U server case. Due to the flat design of a 1U server rack, no inlets or outlets can be used on top of the CPU cooler as the total height of the CPU cooler including the fittings would no longer fit. Therefore, the Eisblock XPX 1U has further connection possibilities on the side of the cooler. There are altogether 3 x IN and 4 x OUT, with 2 x In and 3 x OUT mounted on the side. Straight fittings up to a size of 13/10 mm can be connected at the side. The Alphacool TPV connectors, which were specially developed for the Enterprise Solutions series, are ideal. Larger fittings can be used, but only in specific circumstances with angled adapters. The fittings on top of the CPU cooler can of course be used as usual with all connections up to a size of 16 mm outside diameter, no matter whether for soft tube or HardTubes. High Performance The Eisblock XPX has been called the most powerful CPU water cooler by many independent media. This also applies to the Eisblock XPX 1U as it contains the same technology. The only slight change is to the patented ramp system for optimal waterflow. This has been adapted to allow the new lateral connections. The base plate offers 81 cooling fins covering an area of 34 x 32 mm. The fins are only 0.2 mm thick. This allows for the largest possible area for heat dissipation through the water. Simple Assembly The backplate is attached to the mainboard from behind. Then the mounting frame and the mounting screws (which can be pre-assembled seperately) are attached directly on the CPU block. The Alphacool XPX Aurora Pro Light is the little sister of the XPX Pro CPU liquid cooling block. It offers a clearer design but does without the ramp system of the XPX Pro models. This eliminates the view of the water channels, giving a much clearer look to the coolant. Like the other XPX Pro models, the cooler has been specially optimized for AMD Threadripper, Intel LGA 3647 and 2011/2066 processors. How is the CPU cooler illuminated? As with all new Eisblock CPU water coolers, Alphacool uses an integrated aRGB solution. Under the black frame there are 14 Digital RGB LEDs are mounted around the entire cooler. Each of these 5V aRGB LEDs can be controlled separately. This means that all known effects are possible, depending on the selected controller. There are controllers are available from Alphacool, but also many mainboards offer a 3-pin 5V aRGB connector to control the LEDs of the Eisblock Aurora Pro Light. The cable ends in a 3-pin JST connector with integrated Y-adapter to connect further Alphacool components directly. A corresponding 3-pin JST to 3-pin V adapter is included in the delivery. Extremely powerful The coldplate has been specially optimized for the large processor cores. A total of 147 cooling fins run over an area of around 42 x 58.6 mm. For comparison: An Alphacool XPX Aurora Eisblock requires only 81 cooling fins to completely cover the processor core of a normal CPU. Both coolers use the same type of fins with a thickness of only 0.2 mm. This clearly shows how far Alphacool has gone in order to offer the best possible performance. The entire cooler base is of course made of nickel-plated copper and not aluminium. This is because the thermal conductivity of copper is known to be almost twice as high as that of aluminium. Is installation difficult? The assembly is extremely easy. You remove the protective foil from the cooler bottom, spread some of the enclosed thermal paste on the CPU and then attach the cooler. Depending on the base, the mounting screws are screwed on before or after the cooler is put on. No tools are necessary for the installation. Full Cooling CapacityTo maximize the performance of a radiator, Alphacool reaches deep into its bag of tricks. Copper is the starting point. With a thermal conductivity of 400 W/(mK) for copper compared to 236 W/(mK) for aluminium, the winner is clear. Alongside this is the special fin density. Alphacool is one of the oldest companies in the field of water cooling and has carried out countless laboratory tests. The result, especially for such large radiators, is a fin spacing of 12 FPI. This means that the air flow is almost unobstructed as the air can pass through even without high pressure. However, the cooling capacity does not suffer from this, on the contrary. To use the airflow optimally, all cooling fins have small serrations. These are tiny flaps that guide the airflow in the desired direction and increase the surface area. In the case of radiators, they are barely 1 mm high, but still provide controlled air turbulence to increase cooling capacity and minimise airflow noise. Which fans?The 400 mm XT45 radiator offers space for a 200 mm fan with 154 or 165 mm mounting holes on the mounting frame. The Alphacool Eiswolf 2 is the first full cover GPU AIO waterblock from Alphacool. It is based on the Alphacool GPX Eisblock Aurora GPX water block, a pump unit and a 360mm NexXxoS ST30 full copper radiator. The latter is equipped with the Alphacool Aurora Rise Digital RGB fans. Fullcover Waterblock? The Eiswolf 2 graphics card AIO water block not only cools the GPU with liquid but also all relevant components that require active cooling. This includes the graphics memory, the VRM and, if necessary, other components that require direct cooling. By using the Eisblock GPX Aurora water cooler, the cooling capacity is identical to that of a DIY graphics card water cooler. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers. Pump The Eiswolf 2 has a pump unit in place of the normal connection terminal. This pump unit houses the DC-LT 2 pump. An improved and quieter version of the well-known DC-LT Low Noise Ceramic Pump. Despite looking rather large, the pump unit is only 5 mm wider than a normal connection terminal. Fittings and Tubing As with all new AIO units, Alphacool uses only TPV hoses from the Enterprise Solution range for (usually reserved for servers and workstations) in the Eiswolf 2. The tubing is made of EPDM/PP and are extremely heat-resistant, durable, and free of plasticizers. All fittings are also based on the Enterprise Solution range and match the TPV hoses perfectly. Expandability By using the quick-release fastener, the Eiswolf 2 can be connected to another Alphacool AIO unit to achieve a larger loop in seconds. Alphacool offers various prefilled components with which the loop can be easily extended. For safety reasons, the quick-release fasteners are firmly screwed together and not just plugged together. Lighting and fans The Eiswolf 2 cooler has a digital RGB LED lighting, also called addressable RGB LEDs. They run along the entire back of the graphics card cooler and provide complete illumination of the water cooler. The pump unit is more discreet and offers a green glowing logo for Nvidia and a red glowing logo for AMD cards. The name "Eiswolf" on the pump unit remains unlit, discreetly in the background. The fan used is the Aurora Rise with 120mm. Due to the special blade design, the fan is extremely quiet and the addressable RGB LEDs provide brilliant illumination. The Alphacool Aurora Rise fan convinces with a max. static pressure of 3.17mm/H2O and offers a max. air flow of 119.8m3/h. The PWM control allows the fan to be controlled over a wide speed range. In addition, it offers a zero control. It can therefore be regulated down to 0 rpm and then starts with approx. 350 rpm. NexXxoS Radiator As with all AIO units, Alphacool uses radiators from the world renowned NexXxoS series. The full copper radiators offer a much higher cooling capacity than aluminium radiators and have contributed significantly to Alphacool's worldwide success. The combination of all of the components results in a solution that is as simple as an AIO solution to install, but with the performance of a pre-assembled and prefilled custom loop. Technical note! Due to long storage times and various transport routes, the liquid in the Eiswolf 2 AIO remains still for a long time. The ingredients of the liquid can therefore deposit and lead to a brownish discoloration. As soon as the pump starts operating, the ingredients mix again and the liquid should regain an approximately clear color. This is not a reason for complaint as neither the performance nor the function of the AIO are restricted by this. The next generation - The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora water cooler for Geforce RTX 4XXX graphics cards. In order to dissipate the enormous heat of this graphics card generation in the best possible way, numerous optimizations have been made to the water cooler compared to the previous model. The fin structure was adapted and enables a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The modified jet plate with improved inflow engine ensures an optimal distribution of the water on the cooling fins. Technical Highlights The fin structure of this Eisblock cooler generation was developed together with Nvidia board partners. The fin thickness is 0.4 mm, the distance between the cooling fins is 0.4 mm. This ensures a very good water flow while increasing the cooling surface. The jet plate has a revised inlay that spreads the water pressure better over the fins thus optimizing the heat absorption. The adjusted water inflow gives the water a better angle of inflow. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers. Design The Aurora design of the Geforce RTX 4XXX Eisblock generation is visually calmer and simpler. Only one O-ring runs around the entire cooler. The design around the cooling fins and jetplate makes for a cleaner look. The illumination of the digitally addressable RGB LEDs is even better distributed throughout the cooler as a result of the chrome plating. The terminal's design is in line with the classic Aurora design. Thermal paste & thermal pads The included thermal compound is Alphacool's Subzero. With a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK, it is one of the highest performing thermal pastes on the market. The electrically non-conductive thermal compund is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be processed perfectly due to its viscosity of 850000 TF. Alphacool Soft Pads with 1mm thickness are used on the voltage converter and the graphics memory. The thermal conductivity of the pads is 7 W/mK.
