Quieter, quieter, Spartan 5 MAX If you happen to breathe louder, you might miss the sound of the Spartan 5 MAX running. This bad boy is as quiet as students on a written exam - except that our cooler won't even make a sound when you've finished your work. That's because the award-winning 120 mm Fluctus fan is responsible for the airflow. Its blades have been profiled to sweep the densely stacked heatsink fins as precisely as possible. On top of this, each of them is finished with a wavy edge to reduce annoying noise (psychoacoustic optimisation of the Fluctus fans is patent-pending). 14.6 cm of power At first glance, the Spartan 5 MAX seems undersized, but we added the word "MAX" in its name for a reason. The cooler is only 14.6 cm tall - so it fits loosely into most small cases and keeps temperatures arctic inside. It even blows cool when you sit down to your favourite MMO after a day of 3D rendering. This is thanks to the densely finned heatsink, which collects heat energy well. The heat pipes connected to it are in direct contact with the CPU surface, improving the collection of high temperatures.
