Die SKILLER SGK50 S3 ist zusätzlich kompatibel zu den Open-Source-Softwares QMK und VIA, mit denen die Tastatur bis hin zur Sharkoon-Taste ganz nach eigenen Bedürfnissen programmiert werden kann. Wie die restlichen Funktionen lässt sich auch die Beleuchtung mit wenigen Handgriffen einstellen. Hierzu stehen verschiedene ein- und mehrfarbige Beleuchtungseffekte in unterschiedlichen Variationen bereit. Die verbaute Positionierungsplatte aus Polycarbonat sorgt dabei nicht nur für einen verbesserten Klang der Schalter, sondern auch für eine gleichmäßige Verteilung der Beleuchtung. Das starke Auftreten der SKILLER SGK50 S3 wird durch ein für die Serie typisches abnehmbares Spiralkabel mit USB-C- und USB-A-Anschluss abgerundet, das für eine jederzeit perfekte Optik weiter optimiert wurde.
