Ihr schlanker Formfaktor erreicht die gleiche Funktionalität einer Drei-Block-Tastatur bei minimiertem Platzverbrauch. Die SKILLER SGK50 S3 Barebone kann so gut wie alle handelsüblichen Schalter mit 3 und 5 Pins und auch Tastenkappen aus einem Material nach Wahl des Nutzers aufnehmen. Dank einer cleveren Schalterplatine und mitgelieferter Positionierungsplatten werden dabei sogar alle ANSI- und ISO-Layouts sprachunabhängig abgedeckt. Nativ erlaubt die Tastatur einen hohen Funktionsumfang ganz ohne störende Software, bis hin zur Makroprogrammierung. Zwei Makros mit jeweils bis zu 16 Aktionen können mittels Tastenkombinationen eingerichtet und überschrieben werden. Die SKILLER SGK50 S3 Barebone ist zusätzlich kompatibel zu den Open-Source-Softwares QMK und VIA, mit denen die Tastatur ganz nach den eigenen Bedürfnissen programmiert werden kann. Wie die restlichen Funktionen lässt sich auch die Beleuchtung mit wenigen Handgriffen einstellen.
