The SilverStone RM32 is a 3U rackmount case designed specifically for high-performance rackmount workstations and servers with large-format high-end GPUs. It supports motherboards up to the SSI-EEB standard, features four full-height PCIe expansion slots for graphics cards up to 177 mm wide (or 162 mm with a redundant CRPS power supply), is compatible with redundant SFX-L or 2U-CRPS power supplies, offers space for radiators up to 360 mm in a push-pull configuration with six fans, and includes a PCIe riser cable. This makes it the ideal solution for rendering workstations, deep learning workstations, virtualization servers, and rackmount AI systems that require GPU expansion in a 3U form factor. The main distinguishing feature of the RM32 compared to other SilverStone 3U cases is the use of a PCIe riser cable, which rotates the expansion slots by 90 degrees. This allows even high-end dual or triple-slot graphics cards (up to 177 mm in width) to be installed in a compact 3U enclosure. This solution—common in high-end workstation cases—enables the installation of GPUs like the NVIDIA RTX 4090, RTX 4080, and their AMD counterparts in rack configurations without the need for a 4U or 5U case. The maximum height for the CPU cooler is reduced to 86 mm if it is positioned below the riser cable; in standard positions, it remains at 110 mm. The front cooling system supports up to six 120 mm fans in a push-pull configuration (3+3) with AIO radiators up to 360 mm and a maximum total thickness of 80 mm (fan + radiator). Two 60 mm fans on the rear I/O panel ensure warm air is expelled. The SFX-L power supply or redundant 2U-CRPS module can be up to 250 mm long (unlimited if the 3.5" drive bays are removed) and is thus compatible with high-performance units like the 1200 W SFX-L power supply. The front I/O panel features a USB Type-C port and two USB 3.0 ports, as well as four status LEDs for immediate visual monitoring. Compatibility with SilverStone RMS01/RMS09-20 rails allows for professional installation in any standard 19" rack.
The FSP U530-BS comes with four high-density, sound-dampening side panels that significantly reduce ambient noise.
