They are external RPS units enclosed in solid metal cases with sockets to AC or DC power sources on one end, and connect to a switch’s internal power supply on the other end. They provide a low-cost, simple solution to the problem of an inadvertent failure of the internal power-supply of an Ethernet switch, which can result in the shutdown of that switch, the devices attached to its ports, or an entire network. Supporting full output power for the switch, these redundant power supplies can maximize the power availability of the switching device.Redundant Power BackupEach D-Link RPS is equipped with an integrated detection circuit that continuously monitors theswitch’s internal power supply. In the event of a power interruption, the redundant power supply isimmediately triggered so that the LAN switch and its connected devices can continue providing service. This results in a more reliable network infrastructure and protects the network from going down due to failure of a single network device power supply.Easy and Flexible DeploymentDeployment of a DPS series device does not require any change in the configuration of the LAN switch. With the exception of the DPS-500DC, each RPS is equipped with a universal internal power supply, and can be connected to any AC power source from 90 V AC to 264 V AC, 47 Hz to 63 Hz through a standard AC power cable. Switching the power source will be completely imperceptible, so you can work without any problems, and the only sign of lack of power will be an acoustic signal from the UPS. A universal solution for everyone The uninterruptible power supply is perfect for both the office and home. It will allow you to complete work, an internet meeting or watch your favorite movie whenever there is a power outage. If you ever need to replace the batteries in your device, simply remove the front cover, disconnect and remove the old batteries, and replace them with new ones. Full sine wave Each time the UPS enters battery backup mode, full sine wave alternating current is generated and used to maintain connected devices. Using an autotransformer, AVR eliminates all voltage fluctuations in the range from 207 V to 243 V. Additionally, two sockets provide support for devices in the event of a power outage, allowing the equipment to operate uninterrupted.
