The KP200 memory stick features XTS-AES encryption with a 256-bit key. The administrator can restore the user PIN and provide access to the memory in the event of the user forgetting the PIN or locking the memory after the maximum number of 10 user login attempts has been reached. When administrator and user PINs are enabled, the KP200 memory locks the user PIN after 10 consecutive failed login attempts. If the administrator PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times, the Brute Force protection function erases the memory cryptographically, erases the data irretrievably and resets the device. The memory also offers two levels of read-only mode (write protection) a general mode, which can be set by the administrator, and a session mode, set by the user. Read-only modes protect memory from malware on untrusted systems. Additionally, an administrator can upload content and set the overall read-only mode, which allows the user to access the data but not make changes.
