Non-reprogrammable firmware: There is no access to the product’s firmware or memory through any port. Firmware is permanently stored in non-reprogrammable Read Only Memory (ROM) to prevent modification. Firmware integrity is verified through a self-test procedure during power up. Detection of a critical failure disables the device and provides a clear visual indication to the user. Video performance: Up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz for graphics intensive applications requiring very high quality. Uni-directional video: Computer video input interfaces are isolated through use of separate electronic components and power. The display is isolated by a dedicated, read-only, EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) emulation for each computer. The Adder CATX-CONSOLE is a Computer Access Module cable. Computer Access Modules are used in conjunction with the Adder CATx KVM and Extender products to connect to a range of machine types. Computer Access Modules (CAM's) allow the user to connect multiple different machine platforms to an Adder CATx switch or KVM extender. Using the CAM's you can control Windows machines, SUN PC's and MAC's over the same switch or connect via an extender. Multiple configurations are available for the Adder CAM including USB, PS/2, audio, VGA etc. New to the CAM range is the CATX-CONSOLE serial CAM, giving you serial connectivity to your target machines. Serial interfaces can be used for server control or power control where serial configuration is available.

The CATX Displayport Computer Access Modules are highly compact devices that allow you to extend your DisplayPort equipped computer over CATX cable up to 300 meters. TheCAM connects to the DisplayPort video connector plus USB and Audio ports on your computer and then connects via CAT 5, 5e or 6 cabling to the AdderView CATx KVM switches and/or Adder extender receivers (either AdderLink X100 or X200), each of which can be located up to 300 meters from the module. Your video display, keyboard, mice and speakers arethen all linked to the remote device. Mult Function USB Because the DDX CAM is powered by USB, you do not need an external power supply, thus simplifying cable clutter significantly. ADDER 460W POWER MODULE FOR THE RED PSU MODELS The Adder 460W redundant power supply used (RED PSU) with Hot swappable modules. Conversion from the mains AC supply to low voltage DC occurs within either one, or two switched mode 460W power modules, which slot into the rear of the RED PSU chassis. A single power module is rated at 500,000 hours MTBF and this can easily meet the needs of sixteen ports. However, in situations where redundancy is required, a second power module can be included in the second module bay. With two power modules fitted, the normal load will be intelligently balanced between them on an equal basis; with full load transferring immediately to one should the other cease operation

Adder PSU-RPS-5V is a 2 meter (6.6 ft) 5VDC Power Converter Dongle (12V to 5V) for the Adder RED-PSU rack power supply. Adder devices that require a 5VDC supply require the use of a Converter dongle to form the link between the RED-PSU port and the device, while also transforming the voltage level. Each converter dongle has two leads: a 2.5mm power jack and a locking Kycon® 3-pin plug. Each converter dongle must be placed in close proximity to the device - to assist with mounting dongles in congested spaces, an optional elongated rack bracket (RMK4D-R2) is available for AdderLink Infinity units that allows each dongle to be positioned just behind the device that it is powering.

AdderLink INFINITY ALIF 1002 and all ALIF Dual variants provide a choice of link connections. Each supports copper-based Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T) as well as Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). ALIF (1002) and ALIF Dual units provide a single system port (CATx) as standard on the right side of the front panel.
