The Adder CATX-CONSOLE is a Computer Access Module cable. Computer Access Modules are used in conjunction with the Adder CATx KVM and Extender products to connect to a range of machine types. Computer Access Modules (CAM's) allow the user to connect multiple different machine platforms to an Adder CATx switch or KVM extender. Using the CAM's you can control Windows machines, SUN PC's and MAC's over the same switch or connect via an extender. Multiple configurations are available for the Adder CAM including USB, PS/2, audio, VGA etc. New to the CAM range is the CATX-CONSOLE serial CAM, giving you serial connectivity to your target machines. AdderView Analogue Standard Secure switch checks its own operation The hardware and software must agree before data flow is enabled. The switch constantly checks its own operation and will stop operating and flash its error light if an unanticipated event occurs. Minimal emissions profile - 80dB crosstalk isolation The AdderView Analogue Standard Secure switch is heavily shielded with double shielding in critical areas to minimize the risk of eavesdropping equipment being able to pick up signals from the equipment. The switch boasts an amazingly high level of electrical crosstalk isolation that is greater than 80dB, giving further peace of mind. No shared RAM between ports The keyboard and mouse processor is powered down and reset at each switchover to thwart shared RAM leakages. Separate memories hold the num, caps and scroll states and are only accessible when the relevant channel is selected. All data buffers are actively cleared once they have been used. Secure USB function The USB ports will only support keyboards, mice and SmartCard / Common Access Cards (CAC). Other devices, such as USB storage drives, are actively prohibited. Independent power supplies block power line signalling The circuitry for each port is independently powered from the USB lead. Power line signaling is therefore blocked because different port circuits don't share the same power feed. Uni-directional data paths for keyboard and mouse One-way data paths ensure that data isolation does not rely on trusting microprocessor software, but is instead assured by hardware and prevents a hidden software weaknesses that could potentially cause data leakage. A unidirectional structure also protects against timing analysis or forced malfunction attacks and prevents computers influencing the operation of any common circuitry. One time programmable microprocessors Data isolation is assured by hardware and so is not compromised by any changes to the microprocessor software. Microprocessors use one time programmable memory so flash upgrades are not possible
The AdderView AVX5016IP is a 16 port CATxIP Switch. This device offers 4 non blocking simultaneous IP connections together with a local port (5 separate users), and allows the user to control 16 separate devices. The AVX5016 IP is very small and compact enabling you to fit two units side by side to support 32 computers and 10 sessions in just 1U of rack space. Using Adder's CAM modules, you can connect the switch via CAT5e cable to any type of server including PC, Mac and Sun. The CATX Displayport Computer Access Modules are highly compact devices that allow you to extend your DisplayPort equipped computer over CATX cable up to 300 meters. TheCAM connects to the DisplayPort video connector plus USB and Audio ports on your computer and then connects via CAT 5, 5e or 6 cabling to the AdderView CATx KVM switches and/or Adder extender receivers (either AdderLink X100 or X200), each of which can be located up to 300 meters from the module. Your video display, keyboard, mice and speakers arethen all linked to the remote device. Product Codes CATX-DP-USBA; CATX-MDP-USBA Resolutions and cable lengths The maximum resolutions achievable are: 1920 x 1200 x 60Hz at 200m 1280 x 1024 x 60Hz at 300m. Power The CATX DisplayPort CAM uses the USB port to derive its power from the host computer, dispensing with the need for a separate power supply and thus simplifying installation. Therefore the USB cable must always be connected to a USB port on the computer that is capable of providing up to 500mA. Power is not taken from the DisplayPort connector Mini DisplayPort version available Some computers, servers and graphics cards (Apple Mac Pro and ATI Radion graphics cards) come with mini DisplayPort connectors as these are smaller than the standard connector. A version of the CAM is available with Mini DisplayPort connectors. EDID display information The module will check during power up the EDID information available from the KVM switch or extender that is connected to the monitor and passes this back to the computer. USB The CAM supports low speed (1Mb/s) HID USB devices only. Audio 2 channel CD Quality audio is supported via a 3.5mm jack plug. Audio is not available through the display port connector.

Instant switching with True USB Emulation Adder’s True USB Emulation technology overcomes limitations of other KVM switches by emulating the true character of the connected devices to all the computers simultaneously. This means that you can use the extra function keys, wheels, buttons and controls, without sacrificing switching times. Independent simultaneous device selection Switching options enable you to use the keyboard and mouse on one computer whilst your USB peripherals and speakers are independently connected to different computers. You can of course still switch all the connected devices to any one of the connected computers. Screen illumination module The CCS-XB illumination module is an optional accessory which connects to the CCS-PRO4. It gives users the option to have a LED indicator positioned on each screen to identify which screen is currently controlling. The color and intensity can be controlled for each screen. A maximum of ten LED indicators can be supported. Redundant power For mission critical applications, dual power inlets are now available.
