A powerful and flexible Digital KVM over IP product contained within a palm sized unit, the AdderLink Digital ipeps enables computer access from anywhere in the world, securely and remotely via the Internet or corporate network. The AdderLink Digital ipeps uses Real VNC client software that is specifically designed for secure, high performance KVM over IP applications and supports both IPV4 and IPV6 addresses. The AdderLink Digital ipeps can accept video signals from computers equipped with DVI, DisplayPort DP++ (Dual-Mode) or HDMI along with USB for mouse/keyboard control and for virtual media. Non-reprogrammable firmware: There is no access to the product’s firmware or memory through any port. Firmware is permanently stored in non-reprogrammable Read Only Memory (ROM) to prevent modification. Firmware integrity is verified through a self-test procedure during power up. Detection of a critical failure disables the device and provides a clear visual indication to the user. Restricted USB function: The USB ports will only accept HID (Human Interface Devices), such as keyboards and mice. Other devices, such as USB storage drives, are actively prohibited.

Support for MacPro (Dithered Video) Some graphics cards use a technique called dithering to give the appearance of a deeper color depth than is actually the case. As a result, dithering can significantly increase the normal video data rates. ALIF2002T has a feature called Magic Eye which supports dithering without allowing it to degrade overall link performance. USB 2.0 with class control Enables connection of USB devices from mice and keyboards through to graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks and 3D explorers, alongside mass storage devices. For applications where security is of high importance, the system has the ability to disable the use of non-HID devices, meaning there is no need to physically block USB ports to prevent the use of mass storage devices. EDID management Intelligent EDID management allows the true characteristics of the monitor to be passed back to the computer. This ensures perfect video display without additional configuration.
