Sisseehitatud DIP-lüliti abil saab IGS-620TF-i konfigureerida 6-portilise Ethernet-kommutaatori või 4+2 kiudoptilise redundantse režiimina. Kui IGS-620TF on 6-pordiline lülitusrežiim, võib see töötada suure jõudlusega Store-and-Forward-mehhanismiga; teisest küljest pakub see 4+2 kiudoptilise redundantse režiimi korral kiiret kiudoptilise ühenduse redundantsust väga kriitiliste Ethernet-rakenduste jaoks.
