As some cameras come with a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 sec. that would cause over-exposure with such fast lenses, the photographer can still achieve an appropriate exposure by controlling the shutter speed though using the HD Mk II IRND8 filter.HD MK II IRND64 for blurring objects and visualizin motionThe HD Mk II IRND64 is perfect for performing motion control or blurring objects and is therefore used to render movement of moving objects such as water flow, wave motion or moving people. Without an ND filter and with standard camera settings the movement would appear "still" on the final image. A flowing effect can be achieved through reducing the aperture to f/16 or f/22, but this may cause diffraction that makes the resolution and overall depiction poor. Also, when shooting with fast prime lenses and cameras that have ISO200 as their lowest sensitivity, it might not be possible to reduce the exposure enough to achieve a shutter speed that causes the "water flowing" effect.
