While sharing fields and resources, they still find pride in their friendly rivalry of besting each other’s produce. Each of you represents one of these villages. Over the course of six years – which alternate between fruitful and dry – you must harmonize your duties of harvesting and storing resources, producing beer and bread, selling them for coins and upgrading your facilities.

Cockroach Poker is a reverse set collection game that has nothing to do with poker – except that the game is all about bluffing, with cards that show cockroaches, rats and stink bugs. The goal is to force another player to collect 4 of any one type of critter. The deck includes 64 cards, with eight copies of eight types of critters. To set up the game, shuffle the deck and deal the cards out to players. On a turn, a player takes one card from his hand, lays it face down on the table, slides it to a player of his choice, and declares a type of critter, e.g., "Stink bug". The player receiving the card either Accepts the card, says either "true" or "false", then reveals the card. If this player is wrong in her claim, she keeps the card on the table in front of her face up; if she is right, the player who gave her the card places it face up before him. Peeks at the card, then passes it face down to another player, either saying the original type of critter or saying a new type. This new player again has the choice of accepting the card or passing it, unless the card has already been seen by all other players in which case the player must take the first option. Whoever lost a challenge and had to place the card before him on the table begins the next round. The game ends when a player has no cards to pass on his turn or when a player has four cards of the same critter on the table in front of him. In either case, this player loses and everyone else wins.

You may also find more pans to cook in and baskets in which to carry more than your current hand size allows. Just make sure you avoid the dangerous Fly agaric; this poisonous mushroom will reduce your hand size as you focus on recovering from your ailment. Fungi is a delightful set collection game of tasty decisions. How long do you push your luck and wait before you cook your mushrooms? Do you choose to cook them all or do you trade some of lesser value in for sticks? What is your opponent collecting? Do you want to block them? Do you take what’s right in front of you or spend sticks to get something more interesting further up the path? With the forest disappearing into decay behind you as you pass, you only have a limited time to run back and pick things up before they are gone for good! This card game is comprised of 86 Forest cards, eight night cards, 18 stick cards, one ‘shoes’ card, overview cards and rules. Choose to pay… or suffer terrible shortages that will slow down your race. Attack your opponents! If you end your movement on a space occupied by an opponent, you must engage in combat. Make sure to use the gunpowder to your advantage during combats. Roll the dice and defeat your opponents to steal their goods and treasures. But don't be reckless; otherwise, you'll end up looted. Find treasures… Explore pirates' lairs and unearth fabulous treasures that will give you bonuses during the race: combat advantages, additional holds, increased action choices… but beware of cursed treasures. And be victorious! When a player reaches Port Royal, players end the current round. Then, each one tallies their points according to the position of their boat and the various treasures and doubloons they have. Important: being excessively late or owning cursed treasures cost points. The player with the highest score wins the game!
