The Legendary War Has Begun The Dragon Queen Takhisis—known as Tiamat on other worlds—was banished from Krynn over a thousand years ago. Summoning forth the infamous death knight Lord Soth and vast Dragon Armies to fight for her dominion, she has finally set her plot to return into motion. In the War of the Lance, no choice is easy and the actions of heroes can have world-altering consequences. Epic Battlefield Encounters Enter the Fray of Battle. This book introduces a way to create encounters that simulate the dangers of fighting on a battlefield. A deadly region of difficult terrain called “the Fray” surrounds these battlemaps, representing the chaotic clash of combatants, slinging of deadly spells, and other perils that vary from battle to battle. Connected Board Game Scenarios. Six of the adventure’s dramatic battles can be enhanced even further by playing out connected scenarios in the Warriors of Krynn board game (available in the Deluxe Edition)—earning rewards and further shaping the story of the war. More Character Options Kender Race. Play as a kender, a character race known for their fearlessness and a fierce curiosity that drives many to adventure and some to amass an impressive collection of odd trinkets. Feats & Backgrounds. Flamme Rouge is a fast-paced, tactical bicycle racing game where each player controls a team of two riders: a Rouleur and a Sprinteur . The players’ goal is to be the first to cross the finish line with one of their riders. If more than one rider crosses the line in the same round, the one who gets furthest across wins. Players move their riders forward by drawing and playing numbered cards, which show how far each rider moves. Anyone can race, few become champions!
As in its parent game Kakerlakenpoker, Kakerlakenpoker Royal has nothing to do with poker except that the game is all about bluffing, but with cards showing cockroaches, rats and stink bugs instead of queens, 10s and aces. To set up the game, shuffle the deck and deal the cards out to players. On a turn, a player takes one card from his hand, lays it face down on the table, slides it to a player of his choice, and declares a type of critter, e.g., "Stink bug". The player receiving the card either: Accepts the card, says either "true" or "false", then reveals the card. If this player is wrong in her claim, she keeps the card on the table in front of her face up; if she is right, the player who gave her the card places it face up before him. Passes the card to another player, peeking at it first, then keeping it face-down and either saying the original type of critter or saying a new type. This new player again has the choice of accepting the card or passing it, unless the card has already been seen by all other players in which case the player must accept it and make a true/false claim. The game ends when a player has no cards to pass on his turn or when a player has four cards of the same critter on the table in front of him. In either case, this player loses and everyone else wins. To this, Kakerlakenpoker Royal adds new rules and new nasty "royal" critters to create more options for players during the game.
• Description Compete to steal cheese, but beware the cats as they won't leave you at ease! Players take turns sabotaging their friends and collecting cards while hoping for Cheese until someone decides to unleash the Cat! Everyone drops their cards face-down on the table, and the real heist begins. Players take any card they want, no matter to whom it belonged previously! They use their sixth sense and deducting skills to steal precious Cheese while looking directly at the scared eyes of their friends. It’s madness, you would say, but there are a lot of ways to win this game! But in the end, players will still be friends, because there are no harsh feelings in this game. • Main Goal Be the first to collect 5 Cheese cards and get rid of all Cat cards from your hand.
For generations, the rats in the old junkyard have been telling each other the great legend about a moon made of cheese. And now they have made up their mind: they will build a rocket and take over the Cheese Moon! Of course, all the rats work together to achieve this magnificent goal. However, each rat family is also competing to build the most rocket parts and to train the most Rattronauts so they can feast on as much of the lunar cheese as possible. First Rat is a Core Game for up to five players, which can also be played solo. Numerous strategies, special skills, and a variable setup create new excitement for every game. On every turn, players have to decide whether they want to move one of their rats up to five spaces or if they want to move multiple rats up to three spaces instead – which is only possible if the rats end their movement on spaces of the same color. And if there are already rats in that space, it also costs one cheese per rat! Moving across the junkyard, players collect resources, buy (or steal) useful items, build parts of the rocket or train their Rattronauts, in order to collect as many Victory Points as possible. In the event of a tie, the tied player with the most Rattronauts in the rocket wins. If there is still a tie, the tied players share the win. There is a solo mode as well as variable game setups described in the rule book.
Evergreen is a tree-growing abstract strategy game for 1-4 players by Hjalmar Hach, designer of the award-winning game Photosynthesis, where your goal is to build a lush ecosystem, planting seeds, growing trees, and placing other natural elements on your planet, trying to make it the greenest and most fertile of all. Pick a Biome card from a common pool to determine the area of your Planet you’re going to develop each round. Grow your Trees, plant Bushes, and place Lakes to create a huge Forest, and use the power of Nature to gain extra Actions! Concentrate your Trees in the most Fertile areas and let them collect Light without overshadowing each other to score points! Craft your own strategy! Pick cards from the drafting pool for the Biome they allow you to develop, or for the Power they activate. But that’s not all! Even the cards you do NOT choose are just as important, since the least chosen biomes become more Fertile, and thus more valuable! Try to keep your Trees close to each other to score points for your biggest Forest… but you also want them to collect as much Light as possible without shading each other, so be mindful of the position of the sun!
