APM Barlow 2" This is the 2" counterpart of our famed 1.25", 2x/1.5x Barlow lens. It is well made both in design and craftmanship. Both lenses are fully multicoated for best-possible contrast and transmission. The lenses have a diameter of 37mm, thus you can even use 2" wide angle eyepieces without vignetting. Further uses: With a 2" extension tube - 50mm - you will attain a magnification of 2.7x compared to an eyepiece without the Barlow lens. That way you turn a 30mm wide angle eyepiece into an 11mm wide angle eyepiece with comfortable eye relief. The ProPlanet IR 742 only allows infrared light with wavelengths of more than 742 nm to pass. In this wavelength range the effects of seeing are significantly lower than in the visible spectrum of the human eye. This allows much sharper images than are usually obtained from your device and location. Another advantage is that the sky background of advanced dawn is dark and so the filter even allows photography of the planets and the moon at daylight. Main use The Astronomik ProPlanet IR 742 cuts off the visible part of the spectrum and allows the light of wavelengths longer then 742nm to pass. Due to this behavior the part of the spectrum that is most sensitive to bad seeing is rejected. This approach does a big improvement to the imaging of planets and the moon. The image is more steady than the image in the visible light with nearly identical exposure times.

Many users blame the mount and its internal electronics when an inadequate power supply may be the culprit. This is longer than usual and assures that the power supply will not become a tripping hazard or dangle in the air. Even for larger telescopes, the power supply can be placed on the ground or onto the accessory tray of a tripod or pillar. The housing is sealed against moisture, but it is not waterproof. So, of course the plugs must not contact wet ground. The Baader Planetarium 60W Outdoor Power Supply continuously supplies up to 5 Amperes at a minimum of 12 Volts, so it is perfect for modern, powerful mounts like the Celestron Advanced VX, CGEM (DX), CGE Pro and CPC HD Deluxe.
