Celestron X-Cel LX series eyepieces offer a 60º apparent field of view, perfect for the Moon, the planets, and a plethora of deep-sky objects. The premium six-element optical set is finished with multiple layers of high-transmission coatings for clear, sharp images. The edges of the optics are blackened for increased contrast. All seven X-Cel LX eyepieces sport 16 mm of comfortable eye relief and are parfocal, which means you can switch out eyepieces within the series during observing sessions and little or no additional focusing will be required. The X-Cel LX eyepiece body is made of black-anodized aluminum. The pop-up eyecups make it easy to adjust the height for different users. Turn them in one direction to extend the length, and the other direction to provide a flat surface, preferable to most eyeglass wearers. A treaded rubber grip around the center of the eyepiece barrel offers secure handling, even in moist conditions or with heavy gloves on. Advanced multilayer "interference" filter designed to enhance deep-sky observing in moderately light-polluted skies. The new Sky-Watcher 90° Polar Scope Eyepiece now makes polar aligning your mount so much easier! The eyepiece sleeve securely clamps over the standard polar scope eyepiece using three non-marring, plastic-tipped, knurled metal thumbscrews. This is far superior method of clamping compared to similar looking products on the market that use only one clamping screw and more reliable than those using a brass compression ring, which can be problematic. The internal diameter of the eyepiece clamping sleeve is 30.1mm. For optimum positioning, the eyepiece can rotate 360º around its axis in click-stops. With teleextenders it is possible to extend the effective focal length of a telescope system, resulting in higher magnification for the observation of the moon, the planets or small Deep-Sky objects with the same eyepieces. So you can use the advantages of eyepieces with longer focal length - such as the bigger eye distance and the more relaxed observing comfort - at high magnifications also. Omegon 2X ED 2” Barlow lens - More aperture for your photography and observing Most large telescopes have a 2” focuser. You can use this to your advantage by using a 2“ Barlow lens and discovering all the additional advantages this can offer. The Omegon 2” Barlow lens provides a good image with high contrast. The use of ED glass means that visible colour aberrations are reduced to a minimum with the image appearing substantially sharper. In addition, all lens surfaces have been provided with a green multi-coating to reduce reflections. Larger diameter - more scope for your lenses The 2“diameter also allows you to insert your 2'” eyepieces into the Barlow, doubling their magnification. This saves the need to buy additional eyepieces. The large lens diameter also means you will notice no shadowing in the image. Astrophotography with the Barlow lens You can also use the Barlow lens for astrophotography. Especially for compact objects, sometimes more focal length is required in order for them to be seen at a reasonable size in the image. The big plus: There is also no shadowing apparent on small image format camera chips. Ergonomically designed Naturally, clear starry nights can be cold in summer. This often means there is no choice but to wrap up warmly. This Barlow lens has been designed with a high grip exterior to provide a good grip, meaning that it is easy to handle securely even with gloves on. Still more possibilities One does not always need the focal length to be doubled. It is also possible to use just one section of this Barlow lens in order to get a magnification factor of something like 1.5x. The lower Barlow element can simply be unscrewed and then screwed into any 2” eyepiece. This Barlow element is correctly threaded for this purpose. There is a 2“ filter thread provided on the lower part of the Barlow lens and on the reducer adapter for using your filters.

The Celestron CG-5 Universal Mounting Plate is a basic accessory that allows you to attach a wide range of telescope accessories to the mounting platform of an Advanced CG-5 or Advanced VX mount. It will accept standard mounting rings, spotting scopes, and cameras. The mounting plate is drilled with several of the most common hole types and patterns, including 3/8”-16, 5/16”-18, and 1/4”-20.
One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects bejond the solar systems enourmously. Depending on the type of the celestial object it is possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking the annoying artifical light. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC UHC filter uses a characteristic property of the so called emmission nebulae. Those objects glow in special colors, the so called emmission lines. Those emmission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case hydrogen at 486nm and 656nm, plus oxygen at 496nm and 501nm. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC UHC nebula filter blocks all other colors (and thereby nearly all of the artificial light) and only the emmission line of the hydrogen and oxygen can pass the filter. The result is astonishing: suddenly nebulae are visible at locations that were completely empty without filters. In suburbian skies for example the Owl-nebula M97, the Veil-nebula Ngc 6992 or even the bright Dumbell-nebula M27are not clearly visible. By using this filter you can see the nebulae and their structures without problems. A must for every visual observer. The narrowband UHC filter, like the O-III filter, isolates the two doubly ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm) in addition to the hydrogen-beta line (486nm) emitted by planetary and most emission nebulae. This filter permits superb views of objects like the Orion, Lagoon, Swan and other extended nebulae. It performs well in smaller aperture instruments owing to its greater light transmission than the O-III, yet still suppresses light pollution well. The UHC filter is the best all-around dark-sky nebula filter. Supplied with storage case.
