It performs well in smaller aperture instruments owing to its greater light transmission than the O-III, yet still suppresses light pollution well. This 1.25" Barlow lens from Sky-Watcher gives you an extra 2x magnification for your telescope. The Barlow Lens (named after its inventor, the British mathematician and physicist Peter Barlow) is a diverging (negative) lens, which is used to extend the effective focal length.
