Omegon T-2 ring for Minolta AF - basic adapter for bayonet to T2 thread This Omegon T-ring lets you adapt the bayonet of your SLR camera to the T-2 thread used as a standard fitting in amateur astronomy. There are a large range of adapters that use it. What do I need to connect my camera to the telescope? First, remove the lens from your camera. Then attach this T-2 ring onto the bayonet fitting. You will then see a T-2 female thread, to which you can connect virtually any astronomical adapter. You can connect, for example, a T-2 camera adapter (item 1250) or a focal reducer. These adapters have a T-2 male thread and fit directly onto your T-ring. This combination fits directly onto the focuser of your telescope - firmly attaching your camera to the telescope. The advantages in a nutshell: T-2 ring from the camera bayonet to T-2 base ring for connecting an SLR camera to a telescope connect any T-2 adapter to this ring
Omegon pro H-beta 25nm filter - the best way to see the Horsehead nebulaThere are objects that are so interesting that you should get round to observing them at least once. This includes the famous Horsehead Nebula, which adorns so many wonderful astronomy images. But what would it be like to see it 'live' with your own eyes? With the Omegon Pro H-beta filter and a telescope above 8"-10" in aperture, your wish can come true. The filter allows light to pass only in the hydrogen emission region at 486nm. With a bandpass of 25nm, it is particularly suitable for visual observing. The filter will do all of the following:improve contrast between the object and the night sky background;provide a particularly good image under a dark sky;be particularly useful for observing the Horsehead nebula, Cocoon nebula, and California nebula. The H-beta filter offers you something more than just the 'everyday sky'; it lets you explore the extraordinary!Omegon pro filter with its own test certificateYou benefit from the fact that each Omegon pro nebula filter has been fully tested by us and comes with its own test certificate. This certificate is proof of the quality of your filter.
This stainless steel tripod provides a much more stable base for the telescope mount compared to models made from aluminium. It is exactly this steadiness that the quality of your observing ultimately depends on. The three steel legs are additionally reinforced by a metal plate giving you a tripod that will not wobble during your observing. The metal plate also has holes provided for holding your eyepieces during your observing sessions.
Dew can cause problems at almost any time of the year. Especially when it's a bit cooler, tiny droplets of water vapour in the air condense and fog up your telescope's optics. As a result, you can't see anything clearly, but a clear view of the Universe is the most important thing for night-time observations. Omegon dew cap for telescopes - prevents fogging and ensures a clear view! ADVANTAGES: compact and space-saving prevents the optics from fogging up or fogging up velvet finish - black textile coating against dew formation and anti-reflection adhesive strap attachment for secure attachment available for different OTA diameters Which telescopes is the Omegon protective cover suitable for? For all telescopes with an optical surface on the front. This means for example Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov telescopes. On nights with very high humidity, a dew cap can be useful even for Newtonian telescopes, as many observers have experienced secondary mirror fogging. Suitable for telescopes with a front outer diameter of 145-165 m
Advanced multilayer "interference" filter designed to enhance deep-sky observing in moderately light-polluted skies. It blocks the most common wavelengths of light pollution - predominantly produced by mercury vapor lamps - and allows higher transmission of critical hydrogen-alpha and hydrogen-beta lines. Bright, light-polluted skies appear much darker in the field of view and contrast significantly enhanced, particularly emission nebulas like the Orion and Lagoon. Views of galaxies and clusters are also improved. Available in 1.25" and 2".
Dramatically Improves Views of Emission and Planetary Nebulas. The UltraBlock is the filter for deep-sky observers located at highly light-polluted sites. Blocks all forms of light pollution - mercury vapor and sodium emission bands - while passing the critical hydrogen-beta and ionized oxygen wavelengths. With an UltraBlock, emission and planetary nebulas "surface" from the washed out background sky. In dark skies, the UltraBlock also enhances the sky presence of a significant number of fainter deep-sky objects over unfiltered and wideband-filtered views. Available in 1.25" and 2".
Comprises 4 x high quality glass colour filters. Yellow, Red, Green & Moon/Neutral Density Filters included. These filters will fit most internally-threaded eyepiece barrels of 1.25”/31.7mm format. Supplied in attractive foam-lined plastic screw top storage case.
These high-quality anodized aluminum, optical glass variable polarising filters reduce the amount of light entering your eyepiece. You can progressively dim the view when observing a bright object, such as the Moon or certain planets, to a level according to your needs, whilst increasing contrast, reducing glare and increasing the amount of detail that can be studied. The light transmission can be varied from 40% down to as little as 1%. The filter will not change the color of the object being viewed and will prevent eye fatigue and loss of night vision. Each filter set consists of two polarizing filters, one which can be rotated in its cell to adjust the brightness. The filters, used as single elements, can also be used for daytime terrestrial use for reducing sunlight glare from lakes oceans or window glass. Available in two sizes, threaded to fit either standard 1.25” or 2” astronomical eyepieces. Supplied with storage case.

The narrowband UHC filter, like the O-III filter, isolates the two doubly ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm) in addition to the hydrogen-beta line (486nm) emitted by planetary and most emission nebulae. This filter permits superb views of objects like the Orion, Lagoon, Swan and other extended nebulae. It performs well in smaller aperture instruments owing to its greater light transmission than the O-III, yet still suppresses light pollution well. The UHC filter is the best all-around dark-sky nebula filter. Supplied with storage case.

This high performance CCD filter transmits only the Hydogen Beta emission line, and therefore is useful for greatly increasing the contrast of objects that glow in the corresponding region of the spectrum, for example the Horsehead, Cocoon and California nebulae. Recommended for capuring H-beta emitting objects using CCD photography under dark skies

The O-III narrowband filter is specially designed for the observation of gas and planetary nebulae. It distinguishes different contrasts of the wavelengths of light that pass through, giving ideal conditions for the observation of faint super nova remnants and planetary remnants. The O-III narrow band-pass filter isolates just the two doubly ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm) emitted by diffuse, planetary and extremely faint nebulae. O-III filters work ideally with larger aperture telescopes in the 200mm and larger range. With larger aperture telescopes, observers will have a better opportunity to identify nebulae objects in the deep sky. It can produce near-photographic views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Orion, plus many other nebulae under dark skies.
Designed for use with DSLR and CCD cameras, this low profile Off-Axis guider is a convenient alternative to using a separate conventional guide scope for astrophotography, offering several advantages. More precise tracking as mechanical flexure and image shift are eliminated from the system. The main camera and guiding camera will always move accurately together. The overall system is much lighter and more compact as a separate guide scope is not needed. Brighter, higher resolution images of the guide star on the guiding camera, as you are viewing through the main telescope. Easier to notice and correct tracking errors. Supplied with 2” to M48, and M42 to 2” adaptors.
