PetSafe Microchip Cat Flap is a cat door that provides your pet with freedom and independence. The flap can be installed in doors, walls, or windows, allowing your pet to enter and exit the house at any time. You don't have to interrupt your activities to let your pet out and then watch for their return to let them back in. Additionally, this model features a lock that restricts access to uninvited animals. The flap can operate in automatic or manual mode. In automatic mode, it allows entry only to those cats that have a microchip registered in the flap's memory. When the cat approaches the entrance, the built-in microchip reader scans the number from the microchip located in the pet's body or on a collar tag (available separately). If it successfully identifies the number, it releases the access lock. Other animals outside the house cannot move the flap or pass through the opening. You can register up to 40 cats in the system. The flap is compatible with the most common type of chips implanted by veterinarians, namely the 15-digit FDX-B microchip. The manual mode has 4 opening/closing options that you can easily change using a dial: the flap is completely closed (lock symbol on the dial), the cat can enter the house but cannot exit (arrow symbol pointing inward), the cat can go outside but cannot enter (arrow symbol pointing outward), the flap opens in both directions (bidirectional arrow). At the bottom of the flap and the opening in the frame, there are magnets that keep the flap in place, preventing excess air from entering the house and accidental opening of the flap, for example, during strong winds. Additionally, the edges of the flap are surrounded by a soft strip that increases protection against drafts and also muffles the flap's operation. The transparent material resembles a window and makes it easier for the pet to push the flap in the right place. The Microchip Cat Flap is powered by AA batteries. It can be installed in brick walls and wooden, metal, PVC, and UPVC doors, as well as in glass doors and windows.
