With the Alphacool measuring kit, measuring the lengths and angles needed to bend HardTubes accurately is quick and easy. The set includes rulers in different lengths, as well as corresponding angles and a distance metre. With the included screws, all the rulers can be attached to one another and can slide along their guiding slots. This lets you measure not just one angle but several angles and straight sections at the same time. Then, the screws can all be tightened so nothing slides around. Now the whole thing can be placed on a heat-proof surface and the HardTubes can be heated and bent with an Alphacool Heatgun. More and more fans of water cooling rely on HardTubes for aesthetic and practical reasons. The great challenge for the user is that the pipes need to be bent to fit the water loop. To make this possible, the Alphacool Eiskoffer Light contains most of the tools required to bend the HardTubes quickly and effectively. All you need is a hot air gun and a saw to cut the HardTubes to the desired length. This not only ensures a fantastic looking system, but also makes the assembly of the water cooling much easier. The Alphacool Eiskoffer Light contains a large circular and a multi-sheet mandrel. This makes it easy to make all desired angles. All mandrels are designed for HardTubes with an outer diameter of 12, 13 or 16 mm. Two fitting stops are included so that the correct length can be measured immediately during bending. These simulate the depth of the Eiszapfen fittings. Four additional feeders with pin stops can be used in a variety of ways. Either as a support to create several radii simultaneously, or as an end stop point. All feeders and stops can be screwed onto any wooden board. The matching wood screws are included in the set. Two 80 cm long bending inserts for HardTubes with 10 and 13 mm inner diameter are available so that bending of the HardTubes is done correctly. The functions of all included tools are described in detail in the enclosed manual. The entire tool comes in a sturdy cardboard box. All tools are embedded in thick foam so that the tool is safely stowed away. This means that the tool can always be neatly packed back at the end of the work and the case can be neatly stowed in the desired place. Deburring is mandatory if you want the HardTubes to fit into their connectors properly. A long, sturdy saw and a mitre box serve to simplify cutting the HardTubes. In order to get the perfect bend each time, a substantial palette of bending radii and angles can be attached to the bending plate. The basis for this is formed by two different sizes of bending mandrels and arc mandrels. This allows you to bend HardTubes to any classic bending radius. The fitting stoppers can be used to simulate the depth of an Alphacool fitting on the end of the tube. This means an exact measurement and a perfect bend are always guaranteed when using Alphacool products. Alternatively, the straight mandrel with a stylus stopper can be used if you are using other products. The bending plate has a section that can accommodate self-designed or highly specialised bends. The case contains special flex mandrels that can be positioned in nearly any way. You need a 30° angle followed by a 2cm long straight section and then another 20° angle? No problem; these flex mandrels make just about anything possible. That’s not even getting into the real highlight: instead of just bending on a 2D plane, Alphacool has included flexible 45° and 90° mandrels in the case. These make it possible to take a bend from horizontal to vertical. The flexible angles also make it possible to bend tilted angles. That means angles don’t just have to be bent straight up, but can be rotated around 180° horizontally. The corresponding angle ruler helps to set up the angles you need. To finish off, silicon inserts for HardTubes with 13mm and 16mm diameters are included.
