Alphacool’s new quick connectors, called the “Eiszapfen” (icicle), are the newest addition to the “Eis” series. High quality and impressive features take every water cooling system a step forward in quality and practicality! A quick-release connector can be used anywhere where expandability, flexibility, or cleanliness play a big role. The compact connectors have a 1/4” thread on both sides, making them compatible with all standard components. The connectors can be separated by pulling down the outer rings. Both sides immediately shut completely, so that no water can leak out. The special N.D.S.L. technology (no drip, no splash, no leak) ensures no water drips, splashes or leaks out while opening the connectors. When the pieces are reconnected, both sides audibly click together and are locked tightly with a double o-ring, which is simply pressed together when reconnecting. This also prevents any deterioration of the o-ring. The mechanism was also designed for longevity, to ensure a secure connections even after several years. Many quick connectors tend to compromise the flow rate. But Alphacool has found a way to solve this problem. These quick connectors can still sustain a high flow rate! Alphacool’s quick connectors are available in two models. In deep black and completely chromatized versions, they fit seamlessly into any system. The Alphacool ES 1-Slot Copper/Carbon water cooler with backplate was specially developed for the Alphacool Enterprise Series. Due to the positioning of the connections, the tubing of the cooler in the server rack is made much easier. The cooler top and the backplate are made of carbon. This makes the water cooler lighter compared to Alphacool's ice blocks with acetal or acrylic top. This cooler is 1U compatible! More performance! Alphacool succeeds in positioning the cooler as close as possible to the components to be cooled. To do this, the thermal pads used are reduced to a thickness of 1mm. The maximum possible reduction in the thickness of the copper block and the optimization of the water flow within the cooler allow all important components such as the GPU, voltage converter and VRAMs to be cooled much better and more effectively by the water. All of this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. Chrome plating is much harder than nickel plating and is therefore less susceptible to acids, scratches and damage. The risk of nickel plating chipping off is completely eliminated. In addition, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and offers a shine that cannot be achieved with nickel plating. Connections on the back? In order to save space in terms of width and height during installation, the inlet and outlet were moved to the rear of the cooling block. This positioning of the connections makes the tubing much easier and enables the GPU cooler to be easily integrated into the water circuit, even in the tightest server cases. Copper or aluminum? Alphacool uses only copper for all water-carrying parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore the much better choice of material for water cooling. The chrome-plated copper base is highly acid-resistant, which means that the chrome plating cannot chip off. Thermal paste & thermal pads The electrically non-conductive thermal paste is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be processed perfectly due to the viscosity of 850,000 TF. For the thermal pads, Alphacool uses soft pads that fit perfectly to the components to be cooled and are very durable.
