Alphacool Dual-Flow radiators were developed specifically for use in servers. The ability to run two separate loops through one radiator is unique. There are also advantages to using them in a single loop as you can split the cooling surface and use it directly behind hotspots.What does dual flow mean?The water flow in a classic radiator is in a U-shape. Water is introduced on one side, runs once through half of the radiator before turning around and running back through the other half. The outlet is on the same side as the inlet. In an X-Flow radiator, the water flows once from left to right completely through the radiator. The inlet and outlet are on opposite sides. With the Dual-Flow Radiator, the water flows from one side to the other just like the X-Flow. However, the Dual-Flow Radiator is divided in the middle. You could also say the Dual-Flow Radiator is nothing more than two small X-Flow Radiators in one.What are the advantages?In most server racks, space is extremely limited and being able to do fancy loops is not usually an option. Due to this you can utilise the radiator to simplify the loop and reduce the amount of tubing needed. In some test scenarios, we have even seen an increase in performance from the loop due to this method too.Many connection and mounting optionsThe radiator offers 3 connection options at each input and output. In total, the radiator has 12x G1/4" connections. Thus, versatile mounting requirements can be met. The radiator comes with all screws for mounting inside a case or server rack and for mounting the fans. Additional screws are usually not needed. There is also a protective plate between the mounting holes and the cooling fins. The Alphacool pit saw for acryl/PETG tubes is no ordinary saw from the hardware store. Its special saw blade with fine teeth makes it perfectly suited for cutting acryl/PETG tubes. This saw blade eliminates the usual problems. Even when first placed against the tube, the teeth cut through the acryl so smoothly that there is no slipping around. Any breaking or ripping of the tube at the last few cuts is also eliminated, thanks to the fine saw teeth. It’s a familiar problem: you want to make a straight cut with the saw, but because of the thin saw blade, every cut you make gets a little more crooked?! Not an issue here. The mounting bracket allows Alphacool's Eisbecher reservoir to be mounted on all standard radiators with 120 mm fans. The 120 mm bracket allows for space-saving, easy placement of the reservoir in most cases and offers a variety of mounting options. Mounting example In the front there is a radiator with fans installed so that the air pushes into the case. With the help of the mounting kit, the Eisbecher reservoir can be mounted on the back of the radiator to save space without affecting the airflow. The best Alphacool reservoir mounts of all times! Many reservoir mounts were designed for the original tube reservoirs from the beginning of the PC water cooling sector. During the last years though, the reservoirs became larger, sized for more capacity and metal was integrated for the end caps. This resulted in heavier reservoirs, making the construction of more sturdy mounts imperative. With this universal mounting system every tube reservoir with an outer diameter of 50 or 60mm can be mounted safely and securely! The design is based on hose clamps, which are able to safely seal in pressures of multiple bar with their closed-loop clamping design. Of course a possibility for LED installation was also implemented. Two slightly pre-drilled holes in the back can be drilled as needed, and nothing stands in the way of spectacular lighting for your reservoir.
