HardTube saw tool - mitre box from the new Eiskoffer set. With this mitre box, cutting HardTubes is a cinch. Its special rubberised channels for 13mm and 16mm HardTubes prevent the tubes from sliding around and getting scratched. The mitre box can be anchored with two small screw clamps.
With the Alphacool measuring kit, measuring the lengths and angles needed to bend HardTubes accurately is quick and easy. The set includes rulers in different lengths, as well as corresponding angles and a distance metre. With the included screws, all the rulers can be attached to one another and can slide along their guiding slots. More and more fans of water cooling rely on HardTubes for aesthetic and practical reasons. The great challenge for the user is that the pipes need to be bent to fit the water loop. To make this possible, the Alphacool Eiskoffer Light contains most of the tools required to bend the HardTubes quickly and effectively. All you need is a hot air gun and a saw to cut the HardTubes to the desired length. This not only ensures a fantastic looking system, but also makes the assembly of the water cooling much easier. The Alphacool Eiskoffer Light contains a large circular and a multi-sheet mandrel. This makes it easy to make all desired angles. All mandrels are designed for HardTubes with an outer diameter of 12, 13 or 16 mm. Two fitting stops are included so that the correct length can be measured immediately during bending. These simulate the depth of the Eiszapfen fittings. Four additional feeders with pin stops can be used in a variety of ways. Either as a support to create several radii simultaneously, or as an end stop point. All feeders and stops can be screwed onto any wooden board. The matching wood screws are included in the set. Two 80 cm long bending inserts for HardTubes with 10 and 13 mm inner diameter are available so that bending of the HardTubes is done correctly. The functions of all included tools are described in detail in the enclosed manual. The entire tool comes in a sturdy cardboard box. All tools are embedded in thick foam so that the tool is safely stowed away. This means that the tool can always be neatly packed back at the end of the work and the case can be neatly stowed in the desired place. Before now, the most common approach to water cooling was to use normal PVC tubes – now Alphacool is offering a new way to configure your water cooling system. The HardTube variants bring more order into your system, which gives off a more structured impression. The newest are the brass tubes, available in black chrome and chrome, as well as acrylic tubes, carbon, and borosilicate glass. With their fitted connectors and simply-designed functionality, they can be connected to each other with an absolutely tight seal. The PETG-tubes can be bent with the appropriate bending tools in order to fit into any system easily, without needing any additional angled pieces. In order to install the tubes into the system, they need to be sawn to the correct length. PETG tubes can be bent at lower temperatures than acrylic and are generally more flexible and easier to handle.
