The Alphacool Eiszyklon Aurora LUX fan impresses with its aRGB LEDs and light defusing areas that distribute the light evenly. It shows its strengths particularly on radiators due to a high static pressure, even if it rotates more slowly. Its maximum speed is 1100 rpm. <p>You may have already seen the Alphacool Eiszyklon Aurora LUX Pro fan on the Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora series. It offers a wide control range as well as outstanding digital RGB LED lighting. Thanks to the high airflow, the fan is also ideal for ventilating a case. Decouplers are also found directly on the frame. The soft foam padding reduces the transmission of vibrations to the case. <p style="text-align: justify;">The D-Plug from Alphacool's ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS series with 2 G1/4" male threads offers the possibility to connect components like GPU and CPU coolers or radiators within a water circuit. <br /><br /><b>What's New?</b><br />Compared to double nipples or similar adapters, the ES D-Plug is plugged and not screwed. The necessary stability is provided by two closely fitting O-rings on the Male component of the connector. Of course, the connector has been extensively tested in the Alphacool lab with the result that the D-Plug is stable up to 1.5 Bar. <br /><br /><b>Uses</b><br />Alphacool's ES D-Plug allows for easy connection of water cooling components such as graphics card and CPU coolers or radiators to each other. Since the connector is only plugged in and not screwed, easy installation or quick replacement are uncomplicated. The ES D-Plug has a variable length. By pulling the connector apart, an extension of up to 15 mm can be achieved. This flexibility allows compensation for inaccuracies in the system design and prevents hoses from twisting during assembly. With the use of the D-Plug, the connection of water cooling elements is possible even in the tightest spaces.<br /><br /><b>The right size for every application</b><br />The ES D-Plug is available in lengths of 20 mm, 25.5 mm and 31.5 mm. To ensure the water is free from organic and inorganic substances, it is demineralized and deionized through multiple filtration processes. <p>The Alphacool ES Distro Plates provide order in the system and facilitate the exchange of components in conjunction with quick-release fasteners. They offer extensive mounting options and are the ideal foundation for any enterprise system that is to be equipped with water cooling. <br> <br> <strong>Mounting options<br> </strong>The ES Distro Plates can be mounted in many ways. The easiest and fastest variant is the mounting via the included self-adhesive Velcro. One side is glued stuck dirrectly to the Distro Plate, the other side to any place in the case. After that, you can simply put the Distro Plate on the Velcro. Alongside the Velcro, special feet and mounting frames are included to provide multiple installation options. With the mounting accessories, the Distro Plate can be mounted to any 120 or 140 mm fan space. The included feet also offer many mounting options, including a vertical mounting option on a single foot. Various threaded holes on the sides and back of the ES Distro Plate offer more direct mounting options, including customized holes for special mounting rails in Alphacool's server racks. <br> <br> <strong>Connection options<br> </strong>The ES Distro Plate C3 has a total of 14 connection options in G1/4 format with 5mm deep threads. There are 3 connections on each long side, 6 on the top side and one connection thread on each front side. However, it is important to note that all connections are in pairs. So you can only use the top or the side connection. The excpetion are the ports with 3 sides. Here, only the lateral, upper or the connection on the front side can be used. The exact options are illustrated in the instructions. This configuration makes it very easy to connect all components in the water circuit to the Distro Plate. Of course, several ES Distro Plates can also be connected in series.<br> <br> <strong>Why an ES Distro Plate?<br> </strong>Especially in narrow server cases, it is essential to allow a clean setup of the water cooling. If you draw the cooling loop beforehand, you will quickly find the ideal place for the Distro Plate. An ideal place is when all hoses can be laid as straight as possible, bending tubing too tightly should be avoided where possible. If components are to be replaced, the use of Alphacool ES quick connectors with external thread is recommended. This way, all components in the loop can be mounted directly to the Distro Plate with quick connectors. This makes the replacement of, for example, one or more radiators very quickly possible. Due to the positioning of the connections, the hosing of the cooler in the server rack is significantly simplified. The top of the cooler is made of carbon. This makes the water cooler lighter compared to Alphacool's Eisblocks with acetal or acrylic tops. Thanks to the compact design, only 1 slot is needed to mount the cooler in the server rack instead of 1.5 slots as before. This additional space saving is one more argument for using the ES GPX Copper/Carbon graphics card water cooler.<br /><br /><b>More performance!</b><br />Alphacool manages to position the cooler as close as possible to the components to be cooled. For this purpose, the heat conducting pads used are reduced to a thickness of 1mm. The maximum possible reduction in the thickness of the copper block and the optimization of the water flow inside the cooler allow all important components such as GPU, voltage converters and VRAMs to be cooled by water much better and more effectively. All of this provides a significant increase in cooling performance.<br /><br /><b>Connections on the back?</b><br />In order to save space in the width and height during installation, the water input and output have been moved to the back of the cooling block. This positioning of the connections makes hosing much easier. It enables easy integration of the GPU cooler into the water circuit even in the tightest server housings.<br /><br /><b>Copper or aluminum?</b><br />Alphacool uses only copper for all water-bearing parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore clearly the better choice of material for water cooling. The nickel-plated copper base is highly resistant to acid, which means that chipping of the nickel plating can be ruled out.<br /><br /><b>Thermal paste & thermal pads</b><br />The included thermal paste is Alphacool's Subzero with a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mk. The electrically non-conductive thermal paste is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be perfectly applied due to its viscosity of 850000 TF. For the thermal pads, Alphacool uses soft pads that fit perfectly to the components to be cooled and are very durable. The 2mm and 3mm thick pads have a thermal conductivity of 3 W/mk. The 1mm thick pads can dissipate 7 W/mk of heat.<br /><br /><b>Discreet appearance</b><br />The matte carbon finish gives the cooler a noble appearance. The Alphacool ES Solution Laing DDC310 pump serves as the foundation for various 1 to 4U server solutions from Alphacool. The unit is based around the very popular Alphacool DDC pump and has been coupled with a simple pump base to maintain compatibility with various Enterprise Solution reservoirs. Compact and powerful. The flat design of the Laing DDC310 pump saves space and fits with the corresponding Enterprise reservoirs from chassis as small as a 1U server rack. This results in a very powerful pump that can be used in the smallest of spaces. The DDC310 variant offers with a delivery height of 2.44m enough power to operate an extensive water loop. The performance is enough to operate a dual or quad socket system including reservoir and radiators. The performance of the pump is also sufficient to operate a render server with up to 4 graphics cards. Spherical Ceramic Bearing The pump uses a shaftless ball motor or spherical bearing. The motor is driven by magnets while the rotor is mounted on a ball-ceramic bearing. This makes the pump maintenance-free, as the bearing is self-adjusting and maintenance-free. The pump is lubricated by the coolant during operation. This makes the Alphacool ES Solution Laing DDC310 pump a so-called wet rotor pump. Due to its design, even small particles of dirt are no problem for the pump. Installation and Commissioning The pump is delivered with a classic plastic bottom which ensures a high compatibility to all Enterprise Solution products. However, the pump can also be mounted on all existing DDC pump tops from Alphacool. For this purpose, the heat conducting pads used are reduced to a thickness of 1mm. The maximum possible reduction in the thickness of the copper block and the optimization of the water flow inside the cooler allow all important components such as GPU, voltage converters and VRAMs to be cooled by water much better and more effectively. All of this provides a significant increase in cooling performance.<br /><br /><b>Chrome-plated copper</b><br />The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. A chrome plating is much harder than a nickel plating and therefore less sensitive to acids, scratches and damage. It completely eliminates the risk of chipping nickel plating. Additionally, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and provides a shine that cannot be achieved by nickel plating. Chrome-plated coolers have previously only been used in the industrial sector in areas where extreme influences act on the coolers.<br /><br /><b>Connections on the back?</b><br />In order to save space in the width and height during installation, the water input and output have been moved to the back of the cooling block. This positioning of the connections makes hosing much easier. It enables easy integration of the GPU cooler into the water circuit even in the tightest server housings.<br /><br /><b>Copper or aluminum?</b><br />Alphacool uses only copper for all water-bearing parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore clearly the better choice of material for water cooling. The chrome-plated copper base is highly resistant to acid, which means that chipping of the chrome plating can be ruled out.<br /><br /><b>Thermal paste & thermal pads</b><br />The included thermal paste is Alphacool's Subzero with a thermal conductivity of 16 W/mK. The electrically non-conductive thermal paste is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be perfectly applied due to its viscosity of 850000 TF. For the thermal pads, Alphacool uses soft pads that fit perfectly to the components to be cooled and are very durable. The 2mm and 3mm thick pads have a thermal conductivity of 3 W/mK. The 1mm thick pads can dissipate 7 W/mK of heat.<br /><br /><b>Discreet appearance</b><br />The matte carbon finish gives the cooler a noble appearance. This type of cooler is often used for cooling machines, electrical as well as electronic devices and components. This method of cooling reduces the risk of hardware damage due to overheating.<br /><br />The heat sink has a high number of cooling fins. This creates a large surface area that makes it possible to dissipate the generated waste heat in the best possible way. The principle is simple: the larger the surface area of the cooler, the more waste heat can be removed. This effect is further enhanced by the choice of material, as the high-quality aluminium has good thermal conductivity. The thickness of the radiator base was chosen so that the waste heat generated can be quickly transported away from the component via the cooler. The use of self-adhesive thermal pads is recommended here. These are placed between the component and the cooler and enable fast and effective heat transfer. Thermal conductive adhesive achieves the same effect here.<br /><br />Since the passive cooler is made of aluminium, it is extremely light. This makes it well suited for applications where weight plays a decisive role.
