The EK-Quantum Vector FTW3 RTX 3080/3090 D-RGB GPU cooler, has been further developed based on the 2nd generation Vector series and designed for the EVGA FTW3 RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards. The Vector water block directly cools the GPU, VRAM and VRM (voltage regulation module), as the cooling fluid is routed directly over these critical areas. The base of the block is made of nickel-plated copper, while the top is made of acetal. Furthermore, the cooler has D-RGB lighting, with a total of 9 individually addressable LEDs, which makes the end piece shine pleasantly. The lighting is compatible with all common RGB sync technologies of the major motherboard manufacturers, such as ASRock Polychrome Sync, ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and MSI Mystic Light. Since the GPU cooler does not have a backplate, it is recommended to order a matching backplate. Such a backplate not only improves stability, but also promotes cooling performance, as it also serves as a passive cooler. It is made to complement the existing EK-Quantum Vector RE RTX 3080/3090 water blocks and actively cool the backside of a reference design NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080 and 3090 GPU. This is the 2nd generation Vector GPU water block from the EK® Quantum Line, designed for AORUS® Xtreme and Master RTX 3080 and 3090 graphics cards based on the latest NVIDIA® Ampere™ architecture. An EK water block for Xtreme and Master RTX 3080 and 3090EK-Quantum Vector Xtreme 3080/3090 D-RGB - Nickel + Acetal water block is compatible with Aorus Xtreme and Master RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards. The Vector water block actively cools the GPU, VRAM (on the front), power stages, and chokes in the VRM (voltage regulation module). These newly developed water blocks feature optimized flow paths that reduce hydrodynamic instabilities and vortexing (dead spots) inside of them. The EK-Quantum Vector Series water blocks use an Open Split-Flow cooling engine design, which proved to be a superior solution for GPU water blocks. It is characterized by low hydraulic flow restriction, meaning it can be used with weaker water pumps or pumps running on low-speed settings, and still achieve top performance. The jet plate and fin structure geometry have been optimized to provide even flow distribution with minimal losses and optimal performance when used in any given coolant flow orientation.
