The WireView Pro GPU is an advanced device for measuring and monitoring the power consumption of graphics cards. Developed in collaboration with Jon "elmor" Sandström, the WireView Pro GPU connects to the graphics card's 12VHPWR power connector and links to the power supply via the power cable. Power consumption data is shown on an OLED display. The Pro version has been improved with connector detection and temperature sensors. An integrated buzzer provides an audible warning if an adjustable temperature or current limit is exceeded, if the cable is not properly connected, or if an incorrectly specified cable is in use. A special 60-second measurement cycle allows for a quick and convenient display of power consumption, making it especially useful for reviews. The Pro version includes enhanced connector detection, temperature sensors, and an audible warning signal. Please note that the WireView Pro GPU measures power consumption only through the power connector, not through the motherboard’s PCIe slot. Up to 600 watts can pass through the connectors, potentially heating them and the surrounding board. An audible alarm will sound if the temperature exceeds an adjustable limit. In order to ensure a correspondingly high increase in performance, we opted for a modular high-performance base plate. Proven technologies such as the dual-layer airflow and the symmetrical cooling design have also been incorporated. The result in the form of the HEATKILLER V PRO series is impressive both visually and in terms of performance. Key points of the HK V PRO series: High performance base plate Selected high-performance thermal pads on GDDR6X RAM Dual layer inflow Symmetrical cooling design Design-integrated connection threads in the terminal Screwless design Insulating spacers made of high-performance plastic (Peek) CNC cut thermal pads Modular high-performance base plate In order to increase the cooling performance in the area of the GPU core, we have integrated a modular high-performance base plate into the heat sink. This ensures significantly higher cooling performance than a monolithic design thanks to finely slotted fins and the resulting increase in the cooling surface. We have chosen the fin structure in such a way that, in addition to increasing the performance of the GPU core, the flow is also kept high. All distances to heat-relevant components have been kept small, which means that the heat from thermal problem areas such as GDDR6X RAM and voltage converters is ideally dissipated. The PEEK spacers made from high-performance plastic ideally insulate the cooler from the circuit board and make installation easier. Backplate in package The new cooler design relies on assembly including a backplate. In our case, the black backplate ensures improved distribution of forces around the cooling block.
