Unter Pseudonym zeichnete er die Abenteuer des jungen Lucky Luke ("Lucky Kid") und ab 2011 den "Marsupilami"-Ableger "Marsu Kids". Conrad lebt mit seiner Familie in Los Angeles.René Goscinny, geb. 1926 in Paris, wuchs in Buenos Aires auf und arbeitete nach dem Abitur erst als Hilfsbuchhalter und später als Zeichner in einer Werbeagentur. 1945 wanderte Goscinny nach New York aus. 1946 musste er nach Frankreich um seinen Militärdienst abzuleisten. Zurück in den USA arbeitete er wieder als Zeichner, dann als künstlerischer Leiter bei einem Kinderbuchverleger. Während einer Frankreichreise ließ Goscinny sich von einer franco-belgischen Presseagentur einstellen, die ihn zweimal als Korrespondent nach New York schickte. Er gab das Zeichnen auf und fing an zu texten. Er entwarf sehr viele humoristische Artikel, Bücher und Drehbücher für Comics. René Goscinny verstarb 1977.Albert Uderzo, 1927 geboren, wurde 1941 Hilfszeichner in einem Pariser Verlag. 1945 half er zum ersten Mal bei der Herstellung eines Trickfilms, ein Jahr später zeichnete er seine ersten Comic-strips, wurde Drehbuchverfasser und machte bald auch in sich abgeschlossene Zeichenserien. In dieser Zeit entstanden u.a. "Belloy, Ritter ohne Rüstung" (für die Zeitschrift OK) und "Verbrechen lohnt sich nicht" (für die Zeitung France-Soir). Uderzo wurde Mitarbeiter einer belgischen Agentur in Paris, wo er 1951 Jean-Michel Charlier und Rene Goscinny kennenlernte. Mit Charlier machte Uderzo "Belloy", "Tanguy" und "Laverdure" und mit Goscinny entstanden zunächst u. a. "Pitt Pistol" und "Der unglaubliche Korsar", dann folgten "Luc Junior" (für La Libre Belgique), "Benjamin und Benjamine" (für "Top Magazin") und "Umpah-Pah" (für "Tintin"). 1959 gründeten Uderzo und Goscinny ihre eigene Zeitschrift, die sich "Pilot" nannte. Am Anfang stand der Song Walpurgisnacht, den Faun bei Konzerten gern allen Hexen widmen, und die ihnen entgegenschlagende Begeisterung ermutigte Oliver Satyr und Kolleg:innen, sich tiefer in die Materie zu versenken. Auri Musik ist organisierter Klang, der uns mit dem Universum verbindet, weiß Troy Donockley zu erzählen. Hört man III Candles & Beginnings von Auri, möchte man ihm Recht geben. Im Gespräch mit dem Multiinstrumentalisten sowie mit Sängerin Johanna Kurkela und Nightwish-Kopf Tuomas Holopainen ging es außerdem um griechische Mythologie, die Kraft der Sonne und die Diskrepanz zwischen schnelllebiger TikTok-Seligkeit und der musikalischen Kunstform des Albums. Nicht doch: ein Cello, ein Cello seit jungen Jahren ein musikalisches Steckenpferd von Chris Harms, nicht nur bei Lord Of The Lost. Neuerdings aber besonders, da er im Video die Ehre hatte, das Instrument an der Seite der in Hollywood erprobten Virtuosin Tina Guo zu spielen. Ob es ein Ohrenschmaus war, erzählt der Frontmann im Interview. Paradise Lost Ascension markiert bereits das 16. Studioalbum der britischen Goth-Metaller da geschieht es fast zwangsläufig, dass Gitarrist Greg Mackintosh im Gespräch auch auf die Anfänge der Band ein Auge wirft. Wer reine Nostalgie erwartet, ist jedoch auf dem Holzweg: Bei Paradise Lost paart sich diese stets mit einer musikalischen Vision. Warum diesmal auch Weihnachtsglöckchen dazugehörten, erklärte uns Greg ausführlich und noch so einiges mehr. Mono Inc. Darkness oder Light? Beide Varianten standen für den Titel des neuen Albums von Martin Engler und Kolleg:innen von Mono Inc. zur Diskussion. Dass die Wahl am Ende auf erstere fiel, hat nicht nur, aber auch mit einer gewissen Abneigung der Band gegenüber Diätprodukten zu tun. Kein Wunder, denn die neue Songsammlung besteht mitnichten aus Magerquark, sondern aus einer fetten Ansammlung potenzieller Hits. Katha Mia und Martin Engler sprachen darüber, wir hielten den Kronleuchter. Rhys Fulber Der Mann, der als Teil von Front Line Assembly die kanadische Form von EBM maßgeblich definierte, wagt auf Memory Impulse Autonomy den Weg zurück zu seinen Anfängen. Herausgekommen ist dennoch ein höchst zukunftsorientiertes Album wie das zusammengeht, erläuterte uns Rhys Fulber ausführlich. Ebenso, warum drei Geräte im Grunde ausreichend sind und nichts über Unabhängigkeit geht. Amorphis 20 Jahre sind ein Tag? Nicht ganz. Trotzdem kommt es Tomi Joutsen manchmal so vor, als sei er erst gestern bei Amorphis ans Mikro getreten. »Wer in der Ost-West-Debatte mit Schuldbegriffen operiert, ist schon auf dem Holzweg.«Die Diskussion über Ostdeutschland und das Verhältnis zwischen Ost und West flammt immer wieder auf. Sei es anlässlich runder Jubiläen, sei es nach Protesten - oder nach Wahlen. Und dennoch gibt es in dieser Debatte keine Verständnisfortschritte. Sie dreht sich im Kreis, auf Vorwürfe folgen Gegenvorwürfe: »Ihr seid diktatursozialisiert!« - »Ihr habt uns ökonomisch und symbolisch kleingemacht!«Im November 2024 jährt sich der Mauerfall zum 35. Mal. Bereits zuvor konnte die AfD aus der Landtagswahl in Thüringen als stärkste Partei hervorgehen, aus den Landtagswahlen in Brandenburg und Sachsen als zweitstärkste. In dieser Lage meldet sich der »gefragteste Gesellschaftsdeuter im Land« (Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung) mit einer differenzierten Intervention zu Wort.
