The Alphacool ES 1-Slot Copper/Carbon water cooler with backplate was specially developed for the Alphacool Enterprise Series. Due to the positioning of the connections, the tubing of the cooler in the server rack is made much easier. The cooler top and the backplate are made of carbon. This makes the water cooler lighter compared to Alphacool's ice blocks with acetal or acrylic top. This cooler is 1U compatible! More performance! Alphacool succeeds in positioning the cooler as close as possible to the components to be cooled. To do this, the thermal pads used are reduced to a thickness of 1mm. The maximum possible reduction in the thickness of the copper block and the optimization of the water flow within the cooler allow all important components such as the GPU, voltage converter and VRAMs to be cooled much better and more effectively by the water. All of this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. Chrome-plated copper The cooler is made entirely of chrome-plated copper. Chrome plating is much harder than nickel plating and is therefore less susceptible to acids, scratches and damage. The risk of nickel plating chipping off is completely eliminated. In addition, chrome plating looks much more homogeneous and offers a shine that cannot be achieved with nickel plating. Connections on the back? In order to save space in terms of width and height during installation, the inlet and outlet were moved to the rear of the cooling block. This positioning of the connections makes the tubing much easier and enables the GPU cooler to be easily integrated into the water circuit, even in the tightest server cases. Copper or aluminum? Alphacool uses only copper for all water-carrying parts. Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore the much better choice of material for water cooling. The chrome-plated copper base is highly acid-resistant, which means that the chrome plating cannot chip off. Thermal paste & thermal pads The electrically non-conductive thermal paste is particularly well suited for high contact pressures, but can still be processed perfectly due to the viscosity of 850,000 TF. For the thermal pads, Alphacool uses soft pads that fit perfectly to the components to be cooled and are very durable. Alphacool's Core product series is characterized by high quality, outstanding performance and the uniform and functional design language.The copper cooler which, like the end terminal, is milled from a single piece of copper and is the core of this cooler. The fine workmanship, paired with the hard and resistant chrome plating covering the entire copper cooler, meet the highest quality standards. The chrome-plated brass G1/4" threads integrated on both sides stand out visually from the terminal. They are a central feature of the new design language that will be evident in all products in the Core series.The aluminum backplate adapted to the design, together with the terminal, makes up the entire unit and enhances the back of the cooler with a clean and homogeneous look. The lighting consists of digitally addressable RGB LEDs, which illuminate the entire cooler evenly and effectively.The technical advancements can be seen in the water supply to the jet plate as well as in the optimization of the jet plate itself. The jet plate has been completely redesigned based on many simulations and practical tests in cooperation with board partners. The fin thickness and spacing have been enhanced, the cooling surface has been increased and the water flow to the core components with the greatest heat output has been optimized. The enclosed special soft thermal pads with up to 7 W/mK adapt perfectly to even the smallest tolerances.
