Aquacomputer D5 pump motor with PWM input and speed signal
The D5 pump motor is a powerful pump engine that has to be completed with a suitable housing. The electronically commutated spherical motor features extremely smooth operation and a long life. A PWM signal can be used to control pump speed, alternatively the pump speed can be controlled by supply voltage. Additionally, the pump generates a speed signal for monitoring. Important: The Aqua Computer D5 pump has an optimized PWM input and can be used with any Intel PWM standard compatible fan controller. This pump can be used with aquaero 5/6 PWM fan outputs without any heat dissipiation at the aquaero. All other currently available (as of January 2015) D5 pumps with PWM input use different hardware that will not work correctly with the PWM outputs of aquaero 5/6 devices. This pump is compatible with nearly any PWM fan controller on the market. The glass tube of the 450 ml and 880 ml variants has an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. Base and top of the aqualis reservoirs are made from Delrin and connected by a stainless steel tube. As a optical highlight, a fountain effect can be realized. If the return line is connected to the center connector of the reservoir, the water flows through the stainless steel tube to the top of the reservoir, where it is ejected through eight nozzles. In combination with illumination, this is a real eye catcher effect. A thin acrylic plate near to the bottom of the reservoir reduces air ingestion to a minimum. Alternatively, the return line can be connected to a lateral connector of the reservoir, the water then exits directly from the base part. For this configuration, a deflector plate is included in delivery to ensure can be installed to effectively remove air from the water circuit. The aqualis PRO 450/880 ml variants additionally feature an acrylic window in the base part and up to six LEDs (5 mm size) can be installed into the base part. The PRO variants can be upgraded with an electronic fill level sensor at a later date. The aqualis XT 450/880 ml variants feature the same acrylic window and LED mounting as the PRO variants. Additionally, the XT variants feature an electronic fill level sensor with USB and aquabus interface, a programmable alarm output and an external temperature sensor input. For monitoring and configuration, the aquasuite software can be downloaded free of charge. In addition to the USB interface, the 4-pin aquabus interface can be used to directly connect the fill level sensor to an aquaero 5 controller (not included in delivery). The alarm output can be configured to be used as a rpm signal to be connected to a fan connector with fault detection (for example motherboard fan headers) or to be used as a switched output for example to connect a LED. Fill level and external temperature sensor input can be configured to raise an alarm. The external temperature sensor input is compatible with all Aqua Computer temperature sensors. All variants are also available with nano coating that will cause water to roll off the inner surface of the borosilicate glass tube. The "farbwerk" is an innovative four channel RGB controller for LED strips. The name derives from the German words "Farbe" (color) and "Werk" (factory/plant/work). Twelve channels in total can be used for up to four RGB strips or as individual channels. Each channel has a resolution of 13 bits (8192 individual steps), resulting in smooth color transitions even at low brightness settings. The farbwerk is an autonomous device with an embedded micro processor and can be operated without a PC. Four sensor inputs can be used with compatible temperature sensors (not included in delivery) to visualize temperatures as colors. For those creative users interested in elctronics, the sensor inputs can also be used to connect potentiometers or as 0 - 3.3 V inputs - and with a little creativity, the outputs can be used for other applications as well, for example for fans or if used outside the PC, even for devices requiring up to 24 Volts. The following features are available to control the farbwerk's outputs: 1. Direct color selection: Intuitive interface controls of the aquasuite allow a precise selection of the color and adjustments for the intensity and brightness. 2. In addition to the USB interface, an aquabus or Bluetooth interface is also available depending on the version of the farbwerk. aquabus version: The aquabus version of the farbwerk can be connected to an aquaero 5 or aquaero 6 controller. The aquaero can then be configured to control the outputs of the farbwerk or to transmit sensor data from the aquaero to the farbwerk to be processed by the farbwerk. The aquastream ULTIMATE has been specifically designed for PC water cooling systems. Design goals such as high performance electronics, integrated fan controller, temperature sensor, OLED display and comprehensive control options were all met during development. And there is one other feature that should be mentioned here - the extremely low noise level of the pump. The next big step in development was the introduction of the aquastream XT series in 2007, which includes an USB interface and an integrated fan controller with water temperature sensor in the Ultra variant, defying the traditional definition of a pump. The introduction of the aquastream ULTIMATE marks the next evolutionary step, including a newly developed pump controller and an integrated graphic display. Proven mechanics The pump mechanics continue to rely on the time-tested Eheim technology, the bearing made from high performance ceramics has a life expectancy of more than 10 years of continuous operation. To reduce vibration, the ceramic bearing itself is installed in rubber decouplers. Enhanced electronics The core component of the aquastream ULTIMATE controller is a 32-bit DSP microprocessor featuring an USB 2.0 interface. Based on motor parameters monitored 20,000 times a second, pump motor drive is contionuously optimized to reduce vibrations and to achieve a nearly noiseless operation. A fan contoller with speed monitoring is included in the pump controller, as well as water temperature sensor, alarm buzzer and alarm output. Additionally, an external temperature sensor and an external flow sensor can be processed by the pump controller. Nearly every function of the pump can be configured and monitored directly at the unit by using the well structured menu on the 128x64 pixels OLED display. If the pump controller is connected to the PC via USB interface, the pump can also be configured and monitored using the free of charge aquasuite software, which can also be used to perform firmware updates of the pump controller. When activated, the pump controller continuously calculates the current flow rate from internally monitored pump parameters. Although this calculated flow rate is not as accurate as a mechanical flow sensor, it is more than sufficient for flow monitoring in a PC water cooling system. Limitations: Flow rate can not be calculated if a second pump is present in the cooling circuit! Flow rate calculation is calibrated for DP Ultra viscosity and will deviate when using other coolants ore pure water! The available effects also include sound-to-light effects that react to the sound currently output by the computer. The new Phobya pumps: A revolution begins! After the first products the manufacturer consortium Phobya now introduces a pump series which rattles the cages in the performance-pump sector. This product perfectly combines all the requirements from different watercooling users: Quiet: At less than 25dB even most fans in the system emit more noise. For decoupling and therefore further noise reduction two kits are included with the pump: The first a map for quick and easy mounting on the case floor. The mat is self-adhesive on both sides and therefore reliably fixates the pump. The second possibility for pump installation are two brackets with which the pump can be fixated in the case. A ceramic-based centrifugal bearing promises quiet operation and a long lifespan. Compact: With the small outer dimensions (see technical specifications) the pump can be installed in almost any corner of the case, even in Midi- or Mini-towers. The compact dimensions of the pump also make connection to the cooling loop easy as the pump's position can easily be varied. Powerful: Such a small and quiet pump so far always required compromises regarding the power. Not anymore! 4m of pressure head and 800l/h of flow are the kind of performance that will not be stopped even by cooling loops even with multiple waterblocks. G1/4" connection: No adaptors, no annoyingly long connectors any more! The Phobya fan controller has a perfect design and covers a lot of functions that you need. Depending on the temperature / season and the utilization the computer needs more fan ventilation or less. To have a good cooling performance when needed but also low noise when you do not need the cooling performance makes it necessary to adjust the fan speed depending on the need. The solution is the Phobya TPC fan controller which is offered at an unbeatable price level. Furthermore the Phobya TPC fan controller can not only adjust the fan speed, but also the pump speed if you are using a water cooling system in your computer. A lot of pumps (if run at 12V) are a little too noisy, and can be reduced if the pump power is not needed. Depending on the pump you use, it may happen that you reduce the pump voltage and gain a much more silent PC, but you lose nearly no cooling power in your water cooling system. On the display of the Phobya TPC pump and fan controller you can see the RPM of up to 4 different pumps or fans. There are also 4 temperature sensors included which can be placed in the computer case so that you get all the information about the inside of your computer with one view on the blue enlightened display. If the signal of a fan or pump fails, then the controller gives a loud noise that will catch you attention. If 4 pump or fan channels are is not enough, then you can connect more fans to one output. Because of the extra high output of maximum 30Watt per each channel, it is possible to handle several fans with one channel. You will need additional fan cable connectors for that, which are not included. The front of the controller has a classical black Aluminum design which gives the faceplate and the rotary knob a very high-quality feeling which fits to most of black and silver computer cases. The display ha an overall size of 11x2 cm and is illuminated in a blue color, so that the RPM and temperature can be viewed very clearly. The controller fits perfect into one 5 ¼ computer dive bay. The controller can adjust the output voltage from 6V (for low noise) to 12V (for maximum power). Of course you can adjust all voltages in-between. The power cable is 60cm long and can be plugged with a 4-pin Molex plug into the computer power supply. For the output 4 cables are included with a length of 60cm each which have a 3-pin plug that fits perfect into the fans (also into PWM-fans) and a lot of pumps. To fix the temperature sensors there are small glue-pads included, so that you can place the sensors wherever you want. Finally all cables come with a high-quality black sleeving which will fit perfect into your computer case. Lamptron's SM436 Controller , is the connector to combine and control fans, RGB LED lighting and temperature sensors . With the help of the included display, which is attached to the PCI slots, you have everything in view! Up to four fans, both PWM and non-PWM, can be connected, as well as four RGB LEDs and four addressable RGB LED connectors. Due to the high compatibility , the controller can be easily integrated into most systems. It is synchronized via the mainboard or another RGB controller and powered via a 4-pin Molex and SATA connector. With the included remote control you always keep control over your system, no matter if you need to increase the fan speed or if a certain lighting effect fits to a song. The LC-Display provides optical feedback, if a housing with a viewing window is used.
