The Eisbaer LT Aurora CPU AIO water cooler offers extremely good cooling performance due to the high-end components, which includes a full copper radiator. The components used are all from Alphacool’s classic custom water cooling sector and can also be found in its enterprise products for servers. The Eisbaer LT Aurora can be expanded with additional components thanks to the quick-release fastener. At its heart, the DC-LT 2 pump The exceedingly small and compact DC-LT 2 pump has been further optimized compared to its predecessor. The impeller sits suspended on a ceramic axle and is supported by two magnets. A 3-phase sinusoidal drive ensures a much smoother running of the pump, which significantly contributes to minimizing noise. The pump offers enough power to add another component, such as a GPU water cooler or another radiator, to the loop. Ideally, it is coupled with an Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO water cooler. This also uses a DC-LT 2 pump. DIY fittings and ES tubing The tubing and fittings come from the standard custom cooling segment and all use a standard G1/4" thread. Therefore, it is extremely easy to replace them. The black TPV hose comes, like the connectors, from the Alphacool ES series which is primarily installed in servers and workstations. The hose does not contain any plasticizers and, unlike classic PVC hoses, does not deform at high temperatures. The quick connector is not made of heavy brass, but of extremely light, durable and, robust nylon. The quick connector is compatible with many other models from the Alphacool product line. Cooler As with all Alphacool products, the cooler base is made of nickel-plated copper and is equipped with exceptionally fine cooling fins that are distributed over almost the entire base. With the Core Ocean AiO, Alphacool presents an all-in-one solution that, thanks to its excellent price-performance ratio, enables entry into performance-oriented CPU water cooling. The difference to the Eisbaer CPU AiO is that the Ocean All-in-One is not expandable. Adding further components such as GPU coolers, radiators or expansion tanks is not intended here. But also not necessary! The choice of components and the design of the Core Ocean enable a long service life with low maintenance for water cooling of all common mainstream sockets from AMD and Intel. Aluminium Radiator Compared to Alphacool's full copper models, the T38 aluminium radiator has additional cooling channels. This technical design allows a significant increase in cooling capacity without restricting the water flow within the radiator. Due to the low height of 38mm, the radiator with single-sided fan assembly fits into the tightest case and enables high-performance water cooling of the CPU. Core fan The fan can be regulated from 0 to 2500 rpm via the 4-pin PWM connection. The cable is 40cm long. The pump is connected to the mainboard or to an external controller via the existing 4-pin fan connector. This allows the speed range of the pump to be controlled and monitored. Hoses & Connections The FEP hoses are 40cm long, sleeved and very flexible. The rotatable 360° connections to the cooler and to the radiator are permanently installed and cannot be replaced. However, the combination of hoses and connectors allows a very variable positioning of the AiO even in the tightest PC case. Illumination 12 digitally addressable 5V RGB LEDs are installed in the pump housing, which create a unique, very noble-looking illumination. Alphacool is the first manufacturer worldwide to use copper for all water-carrying components such as the end chambers, the cooling fins and the cooling channels to which the fins are soldered. Only the thread inserts are made of brass as copper is too soft for this application. The cooling fins are also only lightly painted. If you look closely, the copper even shimmers through. The reason for this is to ensure that the paint does not affect the cooling capacity, which would be reduced by too thick a coating. The fin density is at an optimal 15FPI, allowing the radiator to work perfectly at low airflow. A too high density would require faster, louder fans. Alphacool has chosen the golden number here as you can keep fans running slower and quieter whilst still getting fantastic performance.Fans and LightingThe entire Eisbaer Aurora cooler has been equipped with addressable digital RGB LEDs. The pump housing has an Eisbaer pattern all around which is fully illuminated. This gives a unique look when installed into a case. The Alphacool Aurora LUX Pro fans are also fully illuminated with 5V aRGB LEDs. The fan frame has a unique pattern with many small cut-outs that create a particularly elegant effect. You do not see individual LEDs and the lighting is much more interesting than a simple LED ring. Of course, all Digital RGB LEDs can be controlled as you like, such as via the motherboard or with a third-party controller. Depending on the controller almost all effects are possible.How to Connect EverythingThe fans are controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. To reduce the number of headers needed on the motherboard, Y-cable is included so that 2 or 3 fans can be ran from a single header. The RGB lighting is connected via a 3-pin JST connector. Each cable also has an integrated Y-adapter, so that the fans can be daisy chained very easily. A 3-pin 5V adapter is included in the package. The combination of these two materials gives the expansion tank a discreet appearance. The wow effect is provided by 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top and the Lighttower water effect inside the acrylic tube. What's new? Compared to the previous Eisbecher models, the acrylic tube of the Core reservoir has an external thread. This provides more stability and safety when connecting the lid and pump top to the tube. Also new is the integrated digital aRGB lighting. 12 digitally addressable RGB LEDs in the pump top are included in the scope of delivery of the Core reservoir and no longer have to be purchased separately.
