NexXxos is back! This back plate is the perfect addition to your water cooled graphics card, improving looks and cooling performance! The cooling concept of the ATXP/NVXP water blocks is a very well-balanced one, but only little of the water blocks can be seen as they usually face downwards in the enclosure. Hence great attention was paid to the surface finish of the back plates for maximum effect. This was achieved with anodized aluminum: A perfect finish, and even after small mishaps during mounting the color remains consistent. Of course the back plate is shipped with suitable, copper plated M3x12mm hexagon socket screws. Aluminum as the material of choice also has another advantage: With this lightweight material less strain is put on the sensitive graphics card slots! The Alphacool back plate also contributes to the rigidity of the graphics card, preventing it from bending and twisting. The additionally applied thermal pads under the back plate also contribute to the cooling of the sensitive components on the graphics card. Of course the back plate is fully SLI/ Crossfire capable and hence perfect for use in a Multi-GPU system. In the extent of delivery you will find mounting screws and thermal pads – No additional material is needed! With the “Eisbaer”, Alphacool is fundamentally revolutionizing the AIO cooler market. Where traditional AIO CPU-coolers are disposable products which are neither upgradeable nor refillable, the Alphacool “Eisbaer” is modularly built and can be upgraded, rebuilt or refilled at any time. This means that the “Eisbaer” is not only an AIO, but also fully built on classic water cooling components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution. The individual components: Radiator Alphacool depends on a radiator made of pure copper. The base of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series, which is well-loved around the world. The pure copper construction raises the cooling performance enormously compared to the usual aluminium radiators used in classic AIOs. The slight thickness of the fins ensures enormous cooling power in fans with low rotational speed. This ensures that the performance of the “Eisbaer” when adjusting the fans down decreases much more slowly than in radiators with higher fin thickness. Hoses The flexible PVC hoses make installing the “Eisbaer” easy. These hoses are easier to arrange and move into the right position. So the hoses don’t bend and stop the flow of the water, both hoses have been fitted with anti-kink springs. The 11/8 mm size is also a standard in the water cooling field, alongside the 13/10 and 16/10. Quick-lock closure The “Eisbaer” was designed with expandability directly in mind. This quick-lock mechanism is compatible with Alphacool HF quick-lock closures (1010383, 1010394, 1010395, 1010442), with which the circuit can easily be expanded to include anything from a radiator to a graphics card cooler. Furthermore, the “Eisbaer” is compatible with the upcoming Alphacool GPX-Pro graphics card AIO, which will use identical quick-lock closures. Fans The “Eiswind” fans were developed specially for radiators and generate a high static pressure in order to push cool air through the fan blades. Both fans can be regulated with PWM to anywhere in an enormous range from 550 to 1700 RPM. A PWM Y-adapter is included with the “Eisbaer” so that both fans can be controlled by the motherboard or a separate fan control with a PWM connection. Connectors All connectors are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread in the water cooling field. This way, all attachments can be switched out for others any time as desired. This also means that, for example, you could later decide to switch to thicker hoses or even HardTubes and set your system uniquely apart. All these features make the “Eisbaer” cooler into something extraordinary. Its enhanced appearance from the illuminated logo and the illuminated reservoir, which also contains the pump, lets the interior of your PC shine in a whole new way. The step towards perfection The new Alphacool AGB comes in three different models. You can either connect a Laing DDC, the Alphacool DC-LT or the Laing D5/Alphacool VPP655 at the backplate depending on the model which you use. The brushed plate provides an optical finishing touch which is underlined by the high quality processing. The front consists of a scretch-secure soft-touch surface painted in black-matt. The Eisfach is mounted in two of the front 5,25" bays which provides a good overview of the container and the fill level is easily being checked through the lighted window at the back. Additionally, the Alphacool logo in the front can be lighted by connecting the 3-pin connector with a power source. A lot of details complement the first impression! Two 1/4" holes at the top side are available for the first filling. To refill you can simply remove and extract the fillport in the front and two 1/4" holes at the bottom side facilitate the draining of the liquid. There are two lighting modules at the right hand side at the back of the container behind the window for 5mm LEDs. This provides a unique opportunity for personalised lighting and optic. Further two holes at the left hand side provide additional opportunities to fill or drain the liquid. The last two 1/4" threads are used to fill or drain the container. A Bubble Down module has been placed behind the inlet to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle.
