Alphacool Eisblock ES Acetal RTX 3080/3090 Reference with Backplate The Alphacool Eisblock ES Acetal GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 was specially developed for the Alphacool Enterprise series. Over 17 years of experience has been incorporated into the development of this graphics card water block and it represents the current ethos of Alphacool product development. More performance! During the development of the Eisblock ES Acetal GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 graphics card waterblock, we naturally placed great emphasis on increasing performance. For the first step, the cooler was brought closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, the nickel-plated copper block was also made thinner. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow within the cooler was also optimized. All important components such as the voltage converters and the RAM are now cooled much better and more effectively by water. All this provides a significant increase in cooling performance. Connections to the rear? Server cases offer different dimensions than normal PC cases. To save space in width and height, the connections were moved to the back. Another advantage is that it is easier to connect the tubing of a complete server rack with this kind of positioning of the connections. This means that even quick-release fasteners with G1/4" external thread can be screwed directly to the graphics card as already offered by Alphacool. Copper or aluminum? Alphacool, of course, only uses copper in its water coolers. In the EisblockES Acetal GPX-N RTX 3080/3090 the copper is nickel-plated. However, compared to the previous models, Alphacool has improved the type of nickel plating once again. This has significantly increased the acid resistance and is intended to prevent nickel plating from flaking off. Why does Alphacool use copper instead of aluminum? Copper simply has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Are these all new products?  Alphacool Eisblock Aurora GPX-N Acryl Active Backplate 3080/3090 FTW3 The Alphacool Eisblock Aurora GPX-N Acrylic Active Backplate for Geforce RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards is the perfect upgrade for Alphacool's Eisblock Aurora Acrylic GPX-N GPU custom water coolers as well as Alphacool's Eiswolf 2 GPU AIOs (see compatibility details). With the help of the backplate, consisting of nickel-plated copper, the back of Geforce RTX 3080/3090 graphics cards can now also be actively water-cooled, thus achieving a significant increase in cooling performance. Connection options There are 2 different ways to incorporate the backplate into your existing watercooling loop: Variant 1 The cooler has an inlet and outlet with G1/4" internal thread on the top side respectively. With suitable connections and hoses/hard tubes, the backplate can be easily integrated into the water circuit. Variant 2 The cooler has an inlet and outlet on the side suitable for 5/3mm hoses. With the help of Alphacool's MCX 2x manifold with 5/3mm tubing (item 1022250), the active backplate can be easily integrated into the water circuit in a space-saving way. This variant is a sensible choice if there is little space in the PC case and tubing runs will be difficult to do. (Note: Only works with Eisblock Aurora Acryl/ES Acetal GPX-N GPU custom water coolers. Cannot be used in combination with Alphacool Eiswolf 2 AIOs!) The connection options are very flexible for both variants, as the inlet and outlet can be freely selected depending on the design. Brilliant illumination Six addressable digital RGB LEDs are directly recessed and run along the sides of the entire cooling block. This illuminates the entire cooling block and creates unique lighting effects. The Digital aRGB LED lighting is connected via a JST 3-pin connector and can be controlled with a Digital RGB controller (e.g. Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, Art.15360) or a Digital RGB capable motherboard. Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3090 Founders Edition with Backplate The Alphacool Aurora Acryl GPX-N RTX 3090 FE Eisblock combines style with performance and extensive digital RGB lighting. With experience of over 16 years, Alphacool the ability to create GPU blocks that represent high quality and fantastic performance. This perfectly describes the Aurora Acryl GPX Eisblock More Performance! During the development of the EIsblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3090 FE graphic card GPU block, we wanted to further increase the performance. The first step was to move the cooler closer to the individual components by reducing the thermal pads to a thickness of 1 mm. Next, we reduced the thickness of the nickel-plated copper block. Instead of 7 mm, it is now only 5.5 mm thick. The water flow inside the cooler has also been optimized. All important components such as the voltage transformers and the memory are now significantly better and more effectively cooled by the water. All this ensures a significant increase in cooling performance. New Design! The Eisblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3090 FE cooler has been designed so that lighting is more important than the previous models. The addressable digital RGB LEDs are embedded directly into the cooling block and run along the entire cooling block. The effect is an illumination of the entire cooling block. No corner or edge remains unlit by the aRGB LEDs. The new design is more angular with all edges bevelled. This promotes better light diffusion in the water cooler due to the reflections on these bevels. In addition, they create various contours, which give the Aurora GPX-N RTX 3090 FE Eisblock cooler its very own unique identity. Copper or Aluminium? Of course, Alphacool only uses copper for its water coolers. With the Aurora GPX-N RTX 3090 FE Eisblock, the copper is nickel-plated. Compared to its predecessor models, Alphacool has improved the nickel plating even further, which has considerably increased the acid resistance. This means that the nickel should resist flaking. Why does Alphacool rely on copper instead of aluminium? Simply, copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminium and is therefore clearly the better material for water cooling. Is There Anything Else New? The Eisblock Aurora GPX-N RTX 3090 FE also relies on the new patented stop fittings, which sit flush with the surface of the terminal. The Alphacool logo now sits in the corner on the top and is also fully illuminated. On the front of the terminal you can see the corresponding names of the compatible graphic card types. Of course, these are also fully illuminated by the digital LEDs. IN and OUT are now marked by small triangles. They are easily recognizable and fit perfectly into the entire aesthetics of the graphic card water cooler. The Alphacool Aurora GPX-N RTX 3090 FE Acryl is a complete redevelopment of the previous Alphacool graphics card water coolers.
