The step towards perfection The new Alphacool AGB comes in three different models. You can either connect a Laing DDC, the Alphacool DC-LT or the Laing D5/Alphacool VPP655 at the backplate depending on the model which you use. The brushed plate provides an optical finishing touch which is underlined by the high quality processing. The front consists of a scretch-secure soft-touch surface painted in black-matt. The Eisfach is mounted in two of the front 5,25" bays which provides a good overview of the container and the fill level is easily being checked through the lighted window at the back. Additionally, the Alphacool logo in the front can be lighted by connecting the 3-pin connector with a power source. A lot of details complement the first impression! Two 1/4" holes at the top side are available for the first filling. To refill you can simply remove and extract the fillport in the front and two 1/4" holes at the bottom side facilitate the draining of the liquid. There are two lighting modules at the right hand side at the back of the container behind the window for 5mm LEDs. This provides a unique opportunity for personalised lighting and optic. Further two holes at the left hand side provide additional opportunities to fill or drain the liquid. The last two 1/4" threads are used to fill or drain the container. A Bubble Down module has been placed behind the inlet to prevent turbulences that could lead air into the watercircle. Alphacool is making great strides with the new NexXxoS GPX cooler! This new cooling concept offers optimal performance and quality at a reasonable price! Upgrade Kit If you buy a new graphics card and want to integrate it into your cooling loop, you won't need to buy a new graphics card cooler, which can get pretty expensive. Instead, you can save money with this Alphacool GPX Upgrade Kit. Simply unscrew the GPX cooler from the old cooling fins and mount it on the new cooling fins - that is, on the upgrade kit. For the best results in cooling performance, first remove the old thermal paste from the GPX cooler and apply a new thing layer between the GPX cooler and the new upgrade kit. Function The GPU is actively cooled through ingenious new injection technology. All the other chips are sufficiently cooled through the passive cooler in which the GPU water cooler is enclosed. Cross Slot Structure The cross slot technology in the base plate, patented in 2004 and used in the Alphacool NexXxoS XP, has been developed further. The fins and channel structure have been refined. The remaining panes are 0.5 x 0.5mm in size and 2.5mm tall. This enables a very large and fast rate of heat transfer from the copper to the coolant. SLI Operation Through the outside-facing inlet and outlet, this cooler can be used in SLI configurations with little difficulty. This way, up to four graphics cards can be connected with the Alphacool GPX SLI Connector. Backplate Every cooler now includes a backplate which uses little passive cooling fins to cool the graphics card again, as well as giving the graphics card a finished appearance and protecting it at the same time. Cooling fins Passive cooling happens through perfectly balanced, barely 18mm deep cooling fins, which completely cover the remaining parts of the graphics card. Light air circulation in the case means this cooler is in no way inferior to conventional coolers. A new sophisticated injection system means the GPU is actively cooled. All other chips are sufficiently cooled by the passive cooler which is also in contact with the watercooling block for extra efficiency. The patented technology “Philips structure” from the Alpha NexXxoS XP in 2004, was further developed improving the base plate. The Fins and channel structure has been further refined. The fins are now 0.5 x 0.5 mm and 2.5 mm high. This enables a very large and rapid heat transfer from the copper to the coolant. SLI mode: The inlet and outlet are positioned of easy use in SLI mode. Up to four graphics cards can also be connected with the Alphacool GPX SLI connector.
